5 Takeaways from Starting a Weekly #Safety Roundtable: (5 months in) Goal: Increase Employee Engagement around Safety 1. I lead the weekly meeting to ensure everyone understands the importance and that everyone must participate. 2. Creating groups and rotating team members through the roundtable has allowed individuals to collaborate who may normally not interact. (Weekly rotation) 3. Creating a running action item list of "safety hot takes" is an easy representation of continuous improvement. (color code rows to show progress). 4. Have some "hot take" Questions that are asked to the entire group. It raises engagement and lets the entire team know where everyone stands. 5. It must be a meeting where everyone can be honest with themselves and the group, even if that means telling on yourself.
