This is one for the partners of pregnant people! Pregnancy is hard work and can be stressful - here are a few ways you can help to ease that load. Pick up some slack - pregnancy is tiring - your partner is growing a human! The least you can do is take up more of your share of household and life admin. Practice loving touch - offer a foot massage, rub the stretch mark cream into her belly, paint the toenails she can no longer reach... Take time off for appointments - employers have a legal duty to give time off for two appointments, but you might find your employer will let you book additional days so you can go to all the appointments possible. It'll help you understand what's happening, and help you to bond with the baby. Some antenatal classes are held in evenings or at weekends, so you can be sure to attend those too. #Community #InfantMentalHealth #Support #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #First1001Days #Parenting #PerinatalMentalHealth #ChildDevelopment #BabyDevelopment #EmotionalDevelopment #Stress #Pregnancy

Day 7 🤍@whiteribbonuk Today’s topic for the 16 Days of Action is Violence During Pregnancy. ’’Intimate partner violence (IPV) during pregnancy is a serious public health issue with significant negative health consequences for women and children. The majority of research has found that between 3% and 9% of women experience abuse during pregnancy, though there are well established risk factors that are associated with higher rates of abuse, including young age, single relationship status, minority race/ethnicity, and poverty’’ - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov Effects of intimate partner violence on maternal and foetal health: https://lnkd.in/epC8EkH3 #humbercare #humbercarecharity #whiteribbon2023 #16daysofaction #changethestory #accredited #IPV #hull #grimsby
