The latest Business Leaders survey carried out by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and 3Gem Research and Insights has revealed that while UK businesses view damage to their reputation as one of the top business 3 risks, astonishingly, over one-third of those polled do not have in-house PR expertise to manage their reputation, and 40 per cent don’t retain the services of a PR consultant. Businesses which do not have a dedicated reputation management function may find themselves particularly vulnerable in a challenging economic climate and when stakeholder expectations are continually evolving. Communicating effectively and strategically with customers, communities, employees and other stakeholders remains vitally important. The Importance of Measurement in a New Muck Rack Study. The State of PR Measurement 2023. We share the most compelling theses: 🟣 Measuring the impact of PR is a necessary part of the job. It is what most PR professionals consider the third most important function of their work after media relations and leadership. 🟣 47% of PR professionals spend at least a quarter of their time on media measurement and reporting. 🟣 Attaining measurable results is crucial. 66% of respondents named this the number one factor that increases the value of PR among stakeholders. 🟣 PR professionals use an average of 8 different metrics. It applies to both brands and agencies. 🟣 Communication managers and leaders identify three key PR metrics: the number of materials posted (51%), reach/impact (38%), and website impact (35%). https://lnkd.in/e2eCMFwY
