Celebrating our diversity at PRS for Music is something we ensure takes place all year around. This year for South Asian Heritage Month between July 18 and August 17 we came together to highlight the cultures and contributions of South Asian communities and our members. Our Ethnicity Affinity group hosted a series of engaging and thought provoking events throughout the month offering a platform for our colleagues to share their culture, heritage and appreciate our workforce from all different faiths and ethnic backgrounds. We were treated to a wonderful live performance by PRS Foundation’s Palak Rannkka, and our Ethnicity Film and Book club hosted a Bollywood film screening in the office. Rounding off the month we opened up discussion on the South Asian music community, our Head of PR, Marketing and Digital, Rupinder Virdee hosted a South Asian Heritage Month Roundtable - Free to be me: The rise and reach of the South Asian music community – inviting South Asian music industry professionals Shaye, Jasmine Takhar, Suki Padda and Jernade Miah to explore the rising influence, global successes and ongoing challenges faced by South Asian artists in the industry. #PRSforMusic #SAHM
