It's APR month! ✨ What is the APR? 👉APR stands for Accreditation in Public Relations. According to PRSA, "It is a two-part voluntary credentialing program for communications professionals....designed to demonstrate your knowledge of the critical advanced PR and communications skills that deliver value in organizations large and small." What are the benefits? 🔵 Demonstrates a commitment to the field of public relations, its standards and values. 🔵 Sets you apart. 🔵 Shows professional competence and expertise. 🔵 And so much more. I highly recommend earning your APR if you a PR pro. It is worth it. 💯 Learn more about the APR process in the link below. https://lnkd.in/gRSK7UmS #ItTakesAPro #PublicRelations #Career #Learning #Growth #ProfessionalDevelopment #APR #PRSA

Public relations consultant, CIPR Fellow and Chartered Practitioner, Independent PR Practitioner of the Year finalist in CIPR 2024 Excellence Awards, Nottingham-based PR, pwpcomms.co.uk
Interesting insight from the CIPR 2024 State of the Profession report, put together by Ben Verinder. The annual survey, this year hearing from more than 2,000 practitioners, says that the strategic function of public relations is now being realised. It states: “Seven out of 10 in-house professionals say their organisations are positive about the value and strategic contribution of the role of public relations. However, far fewer say their organisations have clear measures of success for PR when it comes to organisational outcomes.” PR is at its best when working within the board room (although the corridors tend to host the most insightful and interesting conversations). We asked one of our judges, Riccardo Gabriele, to give his thoughts relating to the question "What is the responsibility of the public relations industry in green communication and why do you think it is important to reward public relations projects?". Please take a look at what he had to say about it. "In my opinion, those working in PR have the duty to raise public awareness through projects that highlight the green aspect and help increase consciousness. Rewarding such initiatives definitely incentivizes and strengthens this effort."
