This podcast is a roadmap from the dream to the action... Amazing thing happens when women lift one another up. Staci LaToison asks everyone: "What are you dreaming bigger about?" Dreaming bigger is a necessary first step. At Mendoza Ventures we focus on the DOING. We write the check, we scale the company, we grow. This podcast highlights the ability to DO at any level. I love it when Staci LaToison and I get to work together is that we are both executing on the dreams every day. I listened to this (while I made some coffee) this morning and my biggest takeaway was the correction that happens between us, the interjections of "but you did this, I saw you!", imagine if we all brought that with us every day! It was a joy to film this at Harvard Innovation Labs with the help of Leo Guyshan and his team. This was such a fun conversation! Thank you Syama Bunten for letting me tell my story about how my thinking around money has evolved. It is essential that woman get comfortable with speaking openly about money, how to earn it and how to invest it. We will continue to be left out of the game if we are not informed and the more we can share with each other the better informed we will be. Love the work and mission of Getting Rich Together. Cheers to more money flowing to women, through their companies and careers! #womeninvestors #femalefounders #womenentrepreneurs

I saw this really interesting LinkedIn post a couple of weeks ago. This female investor was in Spain and she mentioned listening to pitches from a few different founders. The men who had no viable product identified yet, no product market fit, were asking for a few million dollars. And the women who had five or so years of being in the market and over $300,000 in profit year after year? They were asking for $250,000. Female founders, most of them don’t even know the access and resources available to them. And I see this happening in corporate spaces too, especially in male-dominated industries. What is true in the corporate boardrooms is very true in the startup funding ecosystem as well. Biases and intersectionalities make the topic of diversity and inclusion extremely complex. That’s why I invited Janine Vanessa Heinrich to be on the Embracing “Only” Podcast, so we could explore the topic of intersectionality and how it impacts the experiences and resources of minority female professionals and founders, especially women of color. If you’re interested, that’s episode 59. #Intersectionality #Startup #FemaleFounder #PublicSpeaking

Book a Discovery Call to Learn How to Take Your Messaging from Fuzzy to Clear and Start Attracting More of Your Ideal Clients | Facilitator of Lightbulb Moments | Author | Speaker | Founder
Are You Embracing Your Zone of Genius? I recently spoke with Violette de Ayala host of the FemCity podcast and the founder of the online community, FEMCITY® on the topic of women business owners. She was curious to hear what, if any common threads were emerging from my research and interviews with women founders for my upcoming book, Why NOT Me? The Female Guide for Entrepreneurship. Here are the top three: 1. Women struggle with self-esteem, or "negative self-talk" 2. Women often don't recognize and/or undervalue their superpower 3. Men price high and settle for a price they can live with. Women price low and negotiate down to a price they think someone will pay for. When I started writing my first book, #ReadyLaunchBrand, I often asked myself, who was I to write this book. What made me the expert on Lean Marketing for Startups. In other words, Why Me? After interviewing forty women across the country and throughout the world, I'm now asking, Why NOT Me? How are you embracing your zone of genius? Your superpower? Please share your answers in the comments below. You can listen to the complete interview here: https://lnkd.in/eS84X7cz #WhyNOTMe #WomenFounders #ZoneOfGenius

Venture capital has a reputation for only funding certain demographics of entrepreneurs, particularly white men. As both entrepreneurs seeking funding and investors looking to support them become more diverse, we don’t necessarily see that trend change. Gayle Jennings O'Byrne is here today to discuss the power of storytelling in venture capital and how it can help build trust, break down barriers, and get capital into the hands of those who need it, especially women entrepreneurs. This week’s episode 114 of the How Women Inspire Podcast is about the power of storytelling in venture capital! ➡ Follow Wocstar | B Corp Certified ➡ Follow How Women Lead ➡ Follow How Women Invest #boarddiversity #executivewomen #howwomenlead #howwomeninspire #howwomeninvest https://lnkd.in/eQvxRBsB
