Microsoft Certified Data Analyst | Lead Data Analyst | Power BI | SQL | Python | Tableau | PostgreSQL
In my recent #Tableau project where I am doing migration from #SiSense to Tableau, I got some requirements from the client which are listed below. While these requirements are pretty easy and straight forward for #PowerBI, I was amazed to know that such options do not exist in Tableau, or may be I don't know. So shout out to all the Tableau developers, if you know any way to create the similar UI, please let me know. Because I am using Tableau after 7 years and whatever I know about Tableau, I don't think such options exist in Tableau, at least without any complicated workaround. The requirements were as follows: 1. Have a hierarchical filter 2. Change of background color on hover and on selection 3. Have a UI that is in sync with the existing client's website's UI or at least something similar. None I could achieve in Tableau with the given functionality but created the same with ease in Power BI. Power BI may lack some visualizations as compared to Tableau but still the range of options it provide, are extreme. And remember I still haven't bring #PowerQuery, #DataModelling, #DAX, Deployment Pipelines, Dataflows, Data Marts into the comparison. 😉 #Tableau #PowerBI #SiSense #DataVisualization #Data #DataAnalytics #DataScience

I placed a Tableau Developer a while back, here's why they stood out to hiring managers. She didn't reinvent the wheel. She just had a really good Tableau Public page. 💥 It was incredibly visual 💥 It was public, for anyone to see 💥 Showed concrete examples of her skills The client was able to make a quick and easy decision about her application. They could: 💥 See how she cleaned, transformed and interpreted the data 💥 See the dashboards, visualisations and data stories she created 💥 See an example of the design and effectiveness of her visualisations 💥 Evaluate her skills and use of tools, features and advanced functions 💥 Evaluate her data storytelling skills and ability to communicate to a non-technical audience The client had a look and was just really impressed. She obviously got the job. 😏 So my advice, do good work and find ways to show it to hiring managers. It's that simple. 👀 📌 How have you stood out in hiring processes in the past? #DataRecruitment #PowerBI #Azure #Fabric #Tableau
