Now, let's talk mental health and wellness. There is no denying that this has become a problem in our Society. We should stop burying our heads in the sand. What can be done? When in Council I will ensure that the National office alongside ABA come up with programmes that involves liaising with Branches to identify health professionals within our regions to partner with LSK and make access to mental health possible at subsidised rates. We will look at the feasibility of an advocates insurance scheme that must incorporate mental health. We must normalise speaking out about mental health by continuing with free mental health webinars every month and a segment on mental health at every two-day physical CPD programme. I will ensure that the National Office liaises with Branches to establish a mental health desk at Branches and during physical CPDs - much akin like how we have LSK Sacco desks. Let's take care of our mental health. #It'sTimeForValour #Aseso4UpCountryRepresentative

As we know, mental health is just as crucial as physical health, yet many people face barriers in accessing the care they need. These barriers can include financial constraints, stigma, lack of awareness, and limited availability of services, particularly in underserved areas. To address these challenges, I propose the following initiatives: 1. Telehealth Services 2. Community Outreach 3. Insurance Coverage 4. Collaboration with Local Organizations I believe that by working together, we can create a more inclusive environment where everyone has the opportunity to prioritize their mental health. We would love to assist your company with exploring the above options for your team members. Please contact me at: mike.carraway@acentria.com Wishing you all the best, Mike
