So very true! Parentified individuals have to unlearn old behaviors that served them then (often in survival mode) but do not serve them now. I’ve been on this journey for a long time and am happy to report I’ve come very far with the support of many helping professionals along the way. Transformation is possible!

One of my friends.... Had to grow up quick in a hectic home... It taught her a lot, but at a cost, and her way out was joining the Navy. Also good training, but she still ran into wayward relationships.
