I'm proud to witness the groundbreaking of the Kerian Integrated Green Technology Park (KIGIP) in Perak. This iconic project represents Malaysia's commitment to innovation and sustainable development, aligning perfectly with our national goals of becoming a global leader in green and smart technologies. KIGIP is not just another industrial park; it’s the first of its kind in Malaysia, built on the concept of a ‘green and smart industrial park.’ With its strategic location, KIGIP is poised to attract high-tech investments, including logistics data centers and knowledge-based industries, further reinforcing our position as a preferred global investment destination. This project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration between the public and private sectors. I'm especially proud that bumiputra companies are at the helm of this initiative, showcasing their capabilities on a national stage. As we progress, it’s vital that the people of Kerian, and particularly those from the northern region, are not left behind. Their involvement and empowerment are critical to the success of this endeavor. Through the continued efforts of MOSTI, in collaboration with other ministries and agencies, we will ensure that KIGIP serves as a model for future industrial and green technology hubs across the region. Let us continue to push forward, embracing the changes necessary to secure Malaysia's future as a developed, respected, and sustainable nation. As we embark on this significant journey, I must acknowledge the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. His unwavering commitment to fostering a stable and transparent political environment, coupled with business-friendly policies, has been instrumental in attracting global tech giants like Google, Nvidia, and Infineon Technologies to Malaysia.
