☕️ Had a great coffee catch-up with Pak Edmund Refan at CBTL! For those who haven't met him yet, Pak Edmund Refan is a passionate advocate for learning and development, particularly in leveraging technology for enhanced outcomes. With over 50,000 agents across Indonesia, his role at Prudential Indonesia is crucial in driving L&D initiatives. We've had a couple of virtual meetings exploring learning technology solutions, and it was fantastic to finally meet in person. I'm genuinely impressed with his dedication and forward-thinking approach to adopting new technologies in L&D. Best practices on Technology Adoption and Change Management: 1. Start Small, Scale Gradually: - Begin with pilot programs to test and refine learning technologies before a full-scale rollout. This helps in identifying potential challenges and fine-tuning the approach. 2. Engage Stakeholders Early: - Involve key stakeholders from the outset to ensure buy-in and support. Their feedback can be invaluable in shaping the implementation strategy and overcoming resistance. 3. Focus on User Experience: - Ensure that the technology is user-friendly and accessible. A seamless user experience increases adoption rates and reduces friction in the learning process. 4. Provide Ongoing Support: - Continuous training and support are vital. Equip your team with the skills they need to effectively use new technologies, and provide resources for ongoing learning. 5. Measure and Iterate: - Regularly measure the impact of the technology on learning outcomes and be prepared to make adjustments. Use data-driven insights to refine and improve the implementation. 5 Ways of Adaptability #LifeAtBangkit #Bangkit2024 Interacting Adaptability in communication is vital within the diverse Bangkit 2024 cohort, which includes individuals from various regions of Indonesia. I adjusted my approach based on my peers' and mentors' unique backgrounds. Active listening and openness to different perspectives helped me collaborate effectively, highlighting the importance of empathy and flexibility in fostering innovative solutions. Achieving Flexibility in achieving goals was crucial during my time at Bangkit. The program presented challenges in self-directed learning. When schedules conflicted, I rearranged priorities and utilized productivity tools like calendars and task lists to manage my time effectively. This adaptability reinforced my resilience in overcoming obstacles. Learning The Bangkit program offered diverse learning opportunities, requiring an adaptive approach. Engaging in individual learning, instructor-led training (ILT), and collaborative sessions expanded my knowledge and honed my skills in programming and project management. This flexibility allowed me to absorb information from various sources and deepen my understanding. Working I learned to work adaptively with different styles during my time at Bangkit. For our capstone project, we chose a company case aligned with our interests, fostering collaboration with teammates who had complementary skills. This experience emphasized the importance of teamwork and adaptability in achieving shared goals. Thinking Lastly, adaptability in thinking involved being open to new ideas. Throughout the program, I encountered innovative concepts that challenged my assumptions. Feedback from peers and mentors encouraged me to reevaluate strategies and think creatively about solutions, developing a flexible mindset for tackling challenges. In conclusion, my experience in the Bangkit 2024 program highlighted the five ways of adaptability. Through effective interaction, goal achievement, adaptive learning, collaborative working, and open-minded thinking, I successfully navigated challenges and grew personally and professionally. This journey reinforced my belief that adaptability is an essential skill in today’s fast-paced world.
