An interesting article from Sam Basu Farreca on the difference between interacting with AI and a human. I have been saying this even before the AI hype cycle. Not everything is about convenience. From a neurological standpoint, human interaction creates a way different experience than is possible with AI. AI will attempt to be more human and some people may think that we can't compete with AI. The fact is every single person has something that AI can never have... humanity. What makes people special is not that they know more than anyone else or that they can recall facts, this is being a know-it-all and for many people that is a turn-off. What makes you special is nobody else is you with all of your quirks and flaws. We want to be connected with flawed and unique people like us. We aren't all-knowing human Googles and society has done pretty well anyway. AI is new, it will be disruptive, and even likely destructive at times, but the true marvel of this world is humanity. Let that anchor you during the disruptive times ahead. https://lnkd.in/dTFg-uwv #AI #Futurism #Humanity

Who believes in magic? I think it is safe to say that we all hope AI is going to live up to its potential (even half the hype would be amazing). But it is important to keep our feet on the ground in understanding its true potential, as well as heeding risks on its limitations. This article from #Bloomberg highlights the roles humans still play(ed) in holding AI's hand while it learns, or even had the humans doing the work themselves. Many companies have been caught out exaggerating their technology's ability and trying to pass as AI companies when they are anything but... A little bit like putting .com after you name in 2000? Yes, AI certainly does present an opportunity for new horizons and possibilities. But one must be careful to think that it will be a "rabbit out of a hat" solve for all our needs. #investing #familyoffice #wealthmanagement https://lnkd.in/dMhSknza

This is either incredibly stupid or delightfully early, but I’ve been wondering if process control is a necessary pre-requisite for plugging AI into company operations. Amazon went through a similar journey with inventory reordering (which is 100% automated now). The basic idea, from Working Backwards is: 1. Do the process using humans 2. Bring it under statistical control 3. Continue improving — do experiments, trial and error, etc 4. Automate Yes, perhaps there will be a one-person billion dollar company powered by AI at some point, but I’m willing to bet it’ll be built on top of an explicated causal model of a business, using some set of ideas from process control / continuous improvement / what-have-you. I'm not great at idle speculation like this, so check back in a decade — I MAY want to see if this is possible, which means experimenting on my own businesses. h/t to Evelyn Mitchell and Rohit Krishnan for seeding this idea, and for making me want to test it in reality. Give me a handful of years!

✨AI Tools have certainly made significant inroads in automating various aspects of Amazon selling, but it's important to note that they are not likely to completely replace human labor in this domain.✨ ✔While AI Tools are transforming the landscape of Amazon selling and improving efficiency and decision-making, they are unlikely to fully replace human labor. Instead, the most successful Amazon sellers will likely be those who effectively leverage AI to augment their capabilities, allowing humans to focus on areas where their unique skills and insights are most valuable. The future of Amazon selling will likely be a symbiotic relationship between AI and human expertise. #amazon #amazonselling #amazonppc #amazonselling
