Registered Pharmacy Technician | Committed towards patient-centered care | Graduate from Georgian College
Hi Connections, The qualifying exams for Pharmacy Technician are round the corner and I wish good luck to all the students who are preparing for the exam. Based on my experience, I would like to share a couple of points to keep in mind while preparing for the exam. First, plan out your days and syllabus to be covered. The exam blueprint can be used as a reference for the topics to study. Graduates can use the study material provided by their institution. The Resources provided are a great help! Practicing sample questions is the key to preparing for Qualifying exam Part I (MCQ). One such resource is AgroHealth. I had their subscription, and it helps in ways to look at the question (approaching, thinking, searching the key points in the question). For the Qualifying exam Part II (OSPE), YouTube has some good videos. I would recommend making notes and then practicing them. (Let me know if you need some links for YouTube videos). Time yourself while practicing and make strategies to distribute your station time! Links mentioned in the comment section! I would be happy to assist in any way possible!

I polled 10 new pharmacy technician candidates 👀 and they said this: One of my favorite benefits of teaching incoming pharmacy professionals is that I get to turn my experiences into a lesson plan. In our 6th week of the 8 week Intro to Pharmacy crash course, I had my students review the resources available to health care professionals that misuse/abuse narcotics. 👉🏾I asked them, if I were caught diverting (a.k.a. Stealing) narcotics, should I be given another chance? 2 of the 10 said Yes….the other 8 said NO because I should know better! 😮 👉🏾 When asked if I “would” be given another chance, the room stood still in silence 🤔 1 Brave soul said what everyone was thinking, “NOPE” 😏 Of course, that wasn’t the entire lesson plan, but it was confirmation that even those who have yet to step foot into a pharmacy already know the rules are different for me. Accountability looks different! ✅ Follow me as I take you on this journey through the Final Chapter of fulfilling The Oath of a Pharmacists. PS..on October 30th, I graduated another 10 pharmacy technician candidates in the Triad area of North Carolina from Davidson-Davie Community College “I can train them, can you retain them?” Grace & Peace, Dr. LaQuoia😘 #pharmacy #graceculture #betterleaders #leadershipconsulting
