Done with judging the PHNX entries… Oh how refreshing it was to dive into such a huge pool of creative concepts. This is my 4th year with the The PHNX Awards… And what a huge responsibility jurors have in giving points from one to 10. Of course they are criteria to abide by but still, it is so subjective. I gave my best points to the campaigns that managed to wow me at first sight, since I was mostly judging print categories. But also design/packaging and good causes. The latter category was a bit disappointing. There was very few stunning campaigns in that space. Plenty lacked authenticity. Also not many campaigns from the Middle East, at least in the categories I had to judge. Dommage! PHNX is a unique opportunity: it is free till shortlists are out and its diverse jury of creatives, industry leaders, marketers, strategists, journalists and consultants is the only one of its kind. The results for entrants is often unlike any other in the global awards landscape.. Now the dices are rolled.
