It's Friday! If you're going out today or tomorrow, why not raise a glass to health justice? Saturday, August 31 is the last day of the Tap Into Change program, which supports LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS non-profit organizations by donating a portion of every Molson Coors Beverage Company beverage sold at their partner bar. PHIMC is pleased to be partnering with Roscoe's Tavern in Lakeview! That means for every Molson Coors beverage you buy, PHIMC gets a portion of the profits. 💸 Thank you to the Tap Into Change program for continuing to support LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS non-profits! #TapIntoChange

Want to see a donation of $1500 get made to The Trevor Project from the #samsales crew today? Here's how you can help simply by liking or reposting this post. As we considered spending some marketing budget to a sponsored newsletter or ad, we instead thought... ...why don't we ask for this community's help in marketing one of our top offerings, and give the money to an amazing cause that can do good in the world rather than spending that money with a corporation. ******************************************************************************* The marketing message we wanted to get out: If your teams are struggling with: 📧 Open, reply, meeting booking rates ✂ Understanding how to cut through the noise of an executive's inbox to earn a meeting 💡 Figuring out the "so what" value prop of what your solutions do for each buyer persona 🖋 Understanding how to write great sequences 🤓 Learning how to handle objections, ask for referrals, multithread, or use simple 101 email hacks ...then our Show Me You Know Me Masterclass series can help you address any or all of the above. ******************************************************************************* We'll add $1 per like + $5 for each repost (without your thoughts), up to $1500, that we get by 5pmET today, and donate to The Trevor Project before COB. If you get our newsletter or have seen our charity work these past few years, you'll know that this organization, which provides suicide prevention support for LGBTQ+ youths, is one we've long supported and cheer for loudly. And if this post gets us to our donation goal, we'll do it again this week with another charity. #samsales #SMYKM

Charities need as much support as possible in order to help as many individuals as they can. We are extremely grateful to be able to be a part of the Lottery Fund, aimed at supporting various non-profits like ours. This funding plays a crucial role in bolstering initiatives that promote inclusivity, equality, and visibility across different regions. The lottery grants are often used to support a range of activities, such as educational programs and community outreach to events that celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and history. These funds can help organisations likes ours to offer vital resources like counselling services, support groups, and safe spaces for individuals exploring their identities or facing challenges related to their sexuality or gender. This financial support helps ensure that important work continues, and it demonstrates a broader commitment to fostering a more inclusive society. The impact of this funding is far-reaching, and today and always, we are so grateful for this support. #CharitySupport #LotteryFund #NonProfitImpact #InclusiveCommunity #EqualityForAll #LGBTQVisibility #SupportLocalCharities #FundTheChange

🌈 We are extremely proud to have been partnered with Pret A Manger for nearly a decade! ☕ As the UK’s only LGBTQ+ youth homelessness charity, we understand the importance of Pride for businesses. More than half of our corporate donations are made during Pride season. At akt, we are extremely grateful to receive donations during Pride. For us, it is a natural time to partner with corporations and launch activations at a time when they are more likely to grab customer and staff attention alike. However, as proud members of the LGBTQ+ community we are also rightfully wary of disingenuous connection, which can ultimately do more harm for our community than good. That is why we are passionate about collaborating with corporate partners who are committed to LGBTQ+ inclusion and equality internally, and who are seeking to build Pride campaigns that go beyond a social media post. One of our fantastic partners is The Pret Foundation. The Pret Foundation have remained consistent in their engagement and authentic support of akt, having partnered with our charity since 2015. As part of our partnership this year, Pret has offered its donation terminals to akt so its customers can ‘tap to donate’ directly to us in their shops during June and July. Additionally, a percentage of Pret’s Love Bar sales will be donated to akt in July. Donations help to provide emergency support and ‘Rainbow Starter Packs’ for young people who are starting out on their own. These packs ensure young people thrive in their new homes – providing funds for furniture, a deposit and other key essentials. Pret also holds a strong internal commitment to diversity and inclusion, recently launching its Diversity, Equity and Belonging groups. Clare Clough, UK Managing Director at Pret A Manger, says: “Together with The Pret Foundation, we are proudly partnered with akt to support LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness. Over the past eight years, we’ve awarded grants to support young people. This partnership aligns with our commitment to creating an inclusive environment for our customers and employees. At Pret, we believe everyone deserves a safe space to belong, whether in our shops or support centre. Join us this Pride in supporting akt and the important work they do.” 🔗This pride, you could help us save a LGBTQ+ young person’s life. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/eMzqYMCF

"Foundations allocated less than 4 cents per $100 of their total giving to U.S. trans communities and issues." -- 2021 Tracking Report: LGBTQ Grantmaking by U.S. Foundations It's been 3 years. What do you think has changed since then? The truth is, I don't know for sure, but I highly speculate that these 4 cents have not increased significantly, if at all. Point of Pride is unique in that our largest fundraiser each year comes directly from the community we serve. In just 2 years, we've seen over 70,000 individuals from the trans, nonbinary, gender-diverse communities, and our allies make donations, averaging $44 each. This community-driven funding constitutes a significant portion of our annual budget, supporting our 5 direct-service programs. I'm grateful for any person, company, or foundation that recognizes life-saving gender-affirming care as a fundamental right for all trans and nonbinary people. As we move into the second half of 2024, I hope to see this support grow rather than shrink, despite the challenging political climate surrounding transgender healthcare and access rights.

Update on Joy’s Health We want to share an update on Joy, a trans girl who was attacked alongside her friend Ray while at church. Ray's condition has significantly improved and continues to get better each day. However, while Joy’s health is in a slightly better place, she still experiences a lot of pain. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our donors and friends who helped us get Joy to the hospital. Without your support, her story could have been very different. We are still in need of financial assistance to pay for Joy’s ongoing hospital bills and to maintain our shelter, which houses 50 LGBTQ persons. Operating an LGBTQ shelter in a hostile environment with very limited financial resources presents constant challenges. Your continued support is crucial for us to provide a safe haven for those who need it most. Please consider donating to help us keep the shelter running and ensure that Joy receives the care she needs. Many 2S/LGBTQ+ people use donor gametes -- i.e. eggs and sperm donated by someone who is not an intended parent -- to have children. But navigating the choices and considerations involved can be a challenge. That's why we published a guide for 2S/LGBTQ+ people on starting a family with donor gametes -- check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gxhxjHkh

Helping women and LGBTQ+ founders and organisations look good while being inclusive and accessible | Founder @ Studio Lutalica | Fractional Creative Director | British Creative Businesswoman of the Year 2023-24
I’m feeling very proud, yet a little sad. We put our heart and soul into this campaign, and although we understand there have been really big emergencies in the past month to say the least, I was (maybe naively?) hoping for something more. The response to the campaign has been absolutely overwhelming, with so many people sharing, commenting, vouching for us and supporting our mission. I still can’t believe how much we managed to build in so little time with Studio Lutalica, and I’m so incredibly proud of the amazing connections we made along the way. But I’m passionate and ambitious so nothing is ever enough 🥲 and I really want to start helping more organisations, especially the ones that don’t have the budget to spend to reach their audiences in a more accessible way. And what do we need to do more? You guessed it - money 💰 It’s been really hard to prove the impact of our work, but to put it as simple as possible: let’s say we work with an LGBTQ+ homelessness charity. We can’t take credit for the brilliance of the services they offer, of course, but if we build a brand that is credible, they can get more donations to help more people. If we build an accessible website, we can make a difference for service users being able to find the organisation and get support, and potentially even get a bed for the night in case of emergency. As I said many times, we will implement a sustainable structure for pro bono services. But with your help, we can start much sooner. It’s not too late. There are two days left to support our crowdfunding campaign. If you have anything to spare, please donate here 👉 https://lnkd.in/ekREhQ3U #PurposeOverProfit #DesignForChange #Crowdfunding #DonateNow #LGBTQDesign #FeministDesign #NonProfit #Pride
🌟It’s the Last Weekend! 🌟 We’re so close to the finish line of our first crowdfunding campaign - if you haven’t yet, please consider donating today. Studio Lutalica is raising funds to build the infrastructure needed to offer pro bono design services to organisations advocating for equality and justice for women and LGBTQ+ communities. Your donation will help us create a sustainable framework so we can amplify these vital voices and their impact. 2moAre you kidding me? I love the reason for the fundraiser, but I didn’t expect to see a beer producer linked with a benefit for a public health organization. Yes, LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS are public health concerns, but so are alcohol use disorder and heart disease, both of which are linked to drinking alcoholic beverages.
