Milky Bar Madness 🍫 🤯 Every week I put together a fun game for our team to play after our end of week wrap up - a quiz showdown with the ultimate prize: A sweet treat of the winners choice! 🍫 🍧 🍨 🍩 🍪 🍰 🍬 🍭 🍦 🍡 Something so small, cheap, easy and costs next to nothing = the team leaving with the biggest smiles. The laughter and camaraderie that erupts brings us all a little bit closer together. Sometimes it really is the simple things that create a great working culture. 🧡 Sure, we've have our fancy team outings, bougee restaurants, incentive trips etc but nothing quite compares to the simple joy of a little chocolate-fuelled team building. Because at the end of the day, it's these small moments of fun and connection that really create the core culture of not just our business Alnaas Advisory but any business ✨ P.S. Why did I title this "Milkybar Madness" because last weeks winner decided to share their prize on Tuesday and the team really did enjoy themselves..... please take a look at exhibit "A" below. 👀 I am not naming any names but 54 bars and I'm left with only 2 on a Thursday 🤫 😂 Can't wait for this afternoons 90s and Early 2000s Music quiz!!!! 👩🎤 I'd love to hear what other companies and people do that helps build culture? 💭 In the famous words of Peter Drucker "Culture eats Strategy for breakfast" 🙌

We’re now in the week to two weeks window of opening our first Dead Rabbit outside of New York City, and I wanted to use this opportunity to explain what instigated our growth, why we chose Austin, and some of the many amazing idiosyncrasies of our Austin store each day until we open to the public. As many of you know, The Dead Rabbit has changed markedly in the past few years with an approach of balancing the founding core of the company whilst evolving the outward manifestations of our said core. When we opened The Dead Rabbit, it was all about bringing the Irish Pub in America into the 21st century. When we opened, that initially manifested in our split-level concept and infusing the Irish Pub with great quality cocktails, a banging Irish Coffee, and a great Irish Whiskey selection. While this hasn't changed, we've broadened our aperture to doggedly focus on showcasing the very best of contemporary Irish culture, challenging the manifold misconceptions around our culture in America, and showing that an Irish Pub can be relevant, can be both hospitality and quality driven, and can be beautifully designed. In order to achieve these goals and our mission as a company, we simply had to grow as we wouldn't be able to successfully execute this with one bar in New York, or numerous Dead Rabbits in New York for that matter. I fully believe there should and can be a Dead Rabbit in most major cities in America, and who knows, further down the line, maybe some internationally, all complemented by the other concepts we've launched or are in the process of developing which celebrate different stories and serve different consumer sets. However, we don't want The Dead Rabbit to scale poorly by losing strategic discipline, operational rigor, or commodifying or chainifying The Dead Rabbit. In addition, each new Dead Rabbit must simultaneously execute our core key experience drivers whilst ensuring each Dead Rabbit is relevant to said market. That’s a delicate dance which I'll communicate how we intend to do over the coming week or so. So tune in if you're interested, or tune out if you're not! ❤️🇮🇪

High Performing Teams don’t just happen, they are built over time, through small moments that build trust and intimacy. 🥰 The annual Butlerness Bash is just one of these moments. The weather was kind to us but as a group we were there to have a good time whatever the weather! 🌞 ☔️ It would be easier to go and do an event like this at a dedicated place, but that isn’t Butlerness, we stick to our roots for what makes our winning culture. Building and dismantling a bash like this together, finding the local beer 🍺 and pig 🐷 supplier, connecting up kegs and finding the person in the team who has a DJ talent, all adds a layer of intimacy. We spend so much time with the people we work with, it’s important to get to know the people that support them outside of work, understanding that enables us as a team to better support each other, which in turn drives the vision. A high performing team and a great place to work. A question that needs clarifying before next year, I could do with your help on please…. Can you be out in rounders by someone throwing the ball at you between bases?! 🎾 #HighPerformingTeam #BritishManufacturing #Butlerness #CheeseLover

They’re also going to divulge things about their company culture. About exactly how one leads. About mistakes they’ve made, and learned from. Quantifying those intangibles can make a big difference, especially in an industry like beer, which is losing share to spirits. In business, success isn't just about having a great product, service, or concept; it's about understanding your audience's unique rhythm. It's about decoding their desires, anticipating their needs, and crafting experiences that resonate on a deeper level. Early in my consulting career, I worked with a nightclub struggling to find its footing. They had a stunning venue and a talented team, but the energy was off – like a franchise quarterback with a weak offensive line. So, I dove headfirst into research, spending countless nights in the local scene, observing patrons, bartenders, and even the door staff. I interviewed industry insiders, analyzed competitor strategies, and immersed myself in the local culture. Armed with these insights, I helped transform their approach. Together, we curated events that aligned with the target audience's interests, partnering with local DJs and artists who understood their vibe. I redesigned the layout to optimize flow and create a more immersive atmosphere. I even revamped the cocktail menu to reflect local flavors and trends. Transparency became a cornerstone of our strategy. I encouraged open communication with patrons, actively seeking feedback and responding to their concerns. Staff were empowered to be brand ambassadors, sharing their knowledge and passion for the club's offerings. This openness fostered a sense of community and loyalty among guests. But consistency was the linchpin. I meticulously maintained high standards, ensuring that every visit was memorable. From the music selection to the quality of service, every detail was carefully considered. This commitment to excellence cemented the club's reputation as a reliable and sought-after destination. #MyPastLife #BusinessGrowth #CustomerExperience #StrategicConsulting
