With the European Elections fast approaching, the 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘶𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘦 𝘌𝘜 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘋𝘦𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘦 2024, hosted by Bruegel and the Financial Times took place on 21 May, providing a platform for the lead candidates to discuss Europe’s economic future. Ursula von der Leyen (EPP), Sandro Gozi (Renew), Nicolas Schmit (S&D), and Anders Primdahl Vistisen (ID) engaged in a fierce debate, outlining their economic priorities for the 2024-2029 mandate.
