Wouldn't you agree that this is one of the best times of the year? The days are getting warmer, the sun is shining a bit longer than just 5-mins per day, and EU politics is also heating up with so much still going on. What else makes this time special? Well, for us, in July, we have our own cherished tradition: Publyon's summer party! 🎉 The time when we all come together to celebrate one another and cherish the moments we share as a team. The past few months have been incredibly busy as we worked hard to prepare for the European elections and its consequences for the European political landscape. Taking the opportunity to celebrate this year together was a great moment for us to reflect on our achievements as a business and our fruitful collaboration as a team of creative, supportive and driven individuals with a passion for the EU. With the summer break ahead of us and the European recess around the corner, we will soon take some time to recharge. We will be back in September with a renewed drive to bring the most insightful analysis to our clients and anticipate future events. As a new mandate is about to begin, bringing a new EU programme with new priorities, fresh ideas are in the pipeline, waiting to be explored and further developed to continue enhancing our services even more. Greetings from the Publyon team!

Denmark is a talented country – a Small Great Nation that punches way above our weight. We have a legacy of developing many talents within science, sport, culture, and business. But neither the structural challenges facing us – from demographic aging to AI – nor the opportunities of the future can be tackled by the superstars alone. We need an inclusive and diverse Talent Strategy that makes sure we unfold the potential of people living in Denmark and leaves nobody behind. So that’s precisely what our next Small Great Nation report will do – underlining the importance of recognising that EVERYONE has a talent to be developed, pointing to the talent barriers existing across our society, and highlighting the ways to tear these barriers down. We’ve gathered a fantastic group of speakers to shed light on these topics: Morten Meldal, Emma Sehested Høeg, Brian Mikkelsen, Andrew Palmer, and more will be joining us as we unveil our latest Small Great Nation report at our launch conference on January 25, 14.00 – 17.30. We'll continue the conversation on how to build an even stronger Small Great Nation. I hope to see you there! Sign up at the link below. https://lnkd.in/g8BUnGiD

Co-Founder & CEO @DanAds - 🏆 “Pioneer of the Year”, under the patronage of His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden
Next week, the entire DanAds team will join together in Stockholm at our new office for the Summer 2023 Kickoff event. As we prepare for the event in Sweden, I have been thinking a lot about the intersection of cultural values and business values. Sweden, known for its stunning landscapes, innovative mindset, and world-renowned brands, has a unique culture that greatly influences its approach to business through: - Equality & Diversity: Sweden prides itself on its commitment to equal opportunities for all. Embracing this value, Swedish businesses prioritize diversity in their workforce, recognizing that different perspectives and backgrounds lead to innovation and creativity. - Work-Life Balance: Swedes understand the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Companies in Sweden prioritize flexible working hours, parental leave, and vacation time, allowing employees to recharge and maintain their well-being. - Sustainability: Environmental consciousness is deeply ingrained in the Swedish culture. Businesses in Sweden actively pursue sustainable practices, reducing their carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy sources. - Open Communication: Swedes value open and honest communication. In the business world, this translates to transparent decision-making, encouraging feedback and collaboration among team members. I am proud that the Team DanAds culture embodies these cultural and business values and am looking forward to welcoming our entire team here next week. decadeofdanads #weknowselfserve #adtech #SwedenBusinessCulture #SwedishValues

Trade shows are the ideal setting for discussing important topics for business and society. Including the topic of inclusion, which our President & CEO Wolfram Diener addresses in the first episode of our new video series "Facing Tomorrow" entitled "Inclusive Innovations". Companies are becoming increasingly aware of their social responsibility and are offering ways to participate through their products and services. Progress in this area can also be seen at our trade fairs such as REHACARE – International Trade Fair for Rehabilitation and Care and boot Düsseldorf. Here you can see first-hand how new technologies and services can make people's everyday lives easier and more inclusive. Kieler Woche will be just as inclusive in the coming days. For example, there will be escorts for wheelchair users and the visually impaired. All this shows: The topic of inclusion is more relevant than ever. Supporting Internationals in Finland with new projects and practical ideas. Currently International Affairs Coordinator at TUAS. IWWOF. Communication and Event Manager
🌟 Reflecting on an inspiring day at the Diversify Nordics Summit 2023 in Oslo last Friday! 🌍 What an incredible gathering it was, with over 850 passionate individuals from across the Nordic countries, all coming together to discuss vital topics of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging. It truly felt like a day of unity and belonging. The summit was a full day of enlightening conferences and intense panels. Some speakers left us with inspirational insights like Áslat Holmberg and his Sámi Perspective in the Inclusion and Justice Narrative, or learning about Amazon Web Services (AWS)'s Employee Resource Groups with Ursula Koski and Nathalie Håkenstad. (To be honest other speakers, like the one who claimed to be a minority for going to church, had us wearing our questioning faces! 😄) In all seriousness, this event shed light on the common challenges faced by all Nordic nations: the struggle with superiority complexes, language barriers that intentionally exclude international talents, and difficulty adapting to necessary changes due to lack of talent. However, it was heartening to see that some companies are leading the way with visionary approaches. A big shoutout to Chisom Udeze and the Diversify team for the exceptional organization, the moving introductory speech, and the fantastic networking opportunities. It's events like these that help us come together and drive change. One key takeaway for me was the emphasis on leadership in DEIB topics. Interestingly, the most forward-thinking companies are those that empower their employees to lead change from within. It's a testament to the power of grassroots movements. Let's continue this important dialogue and work towards creating inclusive environments for everyone. Together, we can make a difference! 💪 In the pics: DEIB professionals from Finland! What a team! #DiversityNordicSummit #DEIB #InclusionMatters #ChangeMakers

Few thoughts for the weekend on why the Nordic companies are or at least they should setting their sights on the U.S. market. 🇺🇸 🇫🇮 Nordic countries have long been champions of equality, creating societies where everyone has a voice and opportunity. This commitment to fairness extends to their business practices, making them natural partners for U.S. companies aiming for a more inclusive future. Environmental consciousness is deeply embedded in the Nordic ethos, and this aligns perfectly with the growing demand for sustainable solutions worldwide. Nordic companies bring innovative technologies and green practices to the U.S., contributing more to the eco-friendly business landscape. The Nordic emphasis on holistic well-being and work-life balance is a model that many try to copy. Companies from the Nordics understand the importance of employee satisfaction and its impact on productivity. This philosophy resonates strongly in the U.S., where well-being is gaining prominence as a strategic business goal. Nordic countries have also perfected the art of thriving in a fast-paced world while maintaining quality of life. This positive outlook shines through in their products and services, attracting U.S. consumers seeking functionality and genuine joy. Speaking from personal experience, I have witnessed the power of effective branding and smart partnerships. At A 110 Percent Oy, we are revolutionizing the US market through influencer marketing that aligns seamlessly with our Nordic client's visions. We are bringing out our service with Finnish “SISU” (the ability to persevere through the toughest of circumstances) together with partners and influencers who authentically represent our client values and visuals, all while targeting the right audiences. As Nordic companies expand their horizons, they are not just exporting goods and services; they are exporting a way of doing business that is ethical, sustainable, and people-centric. We believe that together with U.S. partners, we are shaping a future where success is measured not only by profits but by the positive impact made on society and the planet. Ready for a new chapter of cross-cultural collaboration? Enjoy your Weekend! #Letshavealunch #NordicToUS #GlobalPartnerships #sustainablebusinesspractices #readyforbusiness

TOP 5 Takeaways Thank you to all of you who attended Wahlheymat talks #1. We had a wonderful, inspiring two-hour discussion with people from seven different nationalities about living together in Berlin. Here are the main takeaways: 1. RELEVANT - The discussion quickly became emotional and personal; everyone has a long list of stories and wishes. 2. COMPLEX - Beneath the pleasant surface of freedom, tolerance, and unity, there lies a wide range of different perspectives, wishes and tension that have accumulated over the years. 3. CAPACITY - Newcomers contribute more to the economy and society than is generally perceived in the German public discourse. People coming to Berlin are a valuable reserve for the city’s public life. 4. UNIQUENESS - Foreigners often see 'Germans' in Berlin as a homogenous group, and vice versa. None of these perceptions are true. We usually see 'the others' as a single entity lead by prejudice and unconscious bias. 5. UNITY - Both Germans and foreigners were in complete agreement: the recipe for success is listening to the other side, engaging in meaningful discussions, and collaboratively designing programs. Phrases like "interdisciplinary" and "public engagement" have become buzzwords when discussing innovation and policy. Due to their trendiness in modern times, I wonder how fulfilling these criteria can oftentimes be performative - to tick off a checkbox. To do meaningful interdisciplinary research and public engagement is difficult. Last week, I wrote about the "Futures Forum Toolkit," a guide that was pioneered to help one organise a "novel knowledge exchange event." I think this could be worth a read for anyone interested in organising events that can provide worthwhile insights. Let me know what you think. Find my news article here: https://lnkd.in/eNbfENPG

We are so excited to see this inclusive innovation tool published. It is the result of several long standing partnerships that we at Orange Sparkle Ball, Inc. have leaned into over years - with partners who fully trusted us and leaned back! Christele Parham, MBA, thank you for years of being in partnership with us. Macon Black Tech leading this effort is the culmination of 7 years of YES-es between us. We are eager to see how we can lean on this foundational understanding of the Macon ecosystem to push inclusive change! This larger body of work has grown out of a partnership with Teri Garstka and the Social Innovation Lab at The University of Kansas across many projects, communities and ecosystems. What started as a shared interest in social network analysis has grown into an approach that allows for understanding of dynamic ecosystems and the ability to precision intervene based on network dynamics. The idea for this tool came out of a U.S. Census Bureau Opportunity Project sprint with the National League of Cities focused on "Building Social Infrastructure Resilience for Local Communities." The team at the Census Open Innovation Labs (COIL) has been long term partners and we love their approach to bringing human-centered design sprints to focus on civic tech challenges. We are grateful to partner with these wonderful organizations: Macon Black Tech: https://lnkd.in/gynvpcpS KU Social Innovation Lab: https://lnkd.in/gSAKEgD3 US Census Opportunity Project: https://lnkd.in/gX2PTQRG #inclusiveinnovation #innovationecosystem #sna #civictech #partnerships #innovation #macon #networks #economicdevelopment

🌟 Reflecting on an Inspiring Day at the GOTO Business Conference in Sønderborg! 🌟 I had the privilege of attending the GOTO Business conference, with 270 professionals from 130 different businesses in Sønderborg. 🚀 GOTO Sønderborg has set the ambitious goal reaching 77,000 citizens in Sønderborg Municipality by 2030. It’s a significant achievement, but the commitment from the municipality, business community, and education sector was tangible. When we work together, incredible things happen! 🎙️ Captivating Speakers: The lineup of speakers was top-notch. Kim Fausing, CEO of Danfoss, shared invaluable perspectives on innovation and sustainable growth. Brian Mikkelsen, CEO of Dansk Erhverv, challenged us to think bigger and bolder. Their insights left me inspired and ready to take action. 🌐 Collaboration in Action: What stood out most was the emphasis on collaboration. It’s not just about individual success; it’s about lifting each other up. Whether it’s fostering talent, supporting local businesses, or creating a vibrant community, everyone played a part. 🔥 Key Takeaways: Unity Drives Progress: When diverse minds come together, magic happens. Let’s keep bridging gaps and building bridges. Education Matters: Investing in education is an investment in our collective future. Let’s empower the next generation.
