Aura Energy Limited (ASX:AEE, AIM:AURA) will accelerate pre-development activities at the Tiris #Uranium Project in Mauritania after raising approximately A$16.2 million in a well-supported placement that attracted significant domestic and international interest. As a result, a broad range of high-quality institutions have been added to the company’s register with the raising also drawing strong support from existing institutional shareholders. The company will issue approximately 90.2 million fully paid ordinary shares at A$0.18 per share. Aura Energy also proposes to hold a share purchase plan (SPP) to raise up to $2 million, thus enabling existing shareholders to participate on the same terms as the placement, subject to shareholder approval. Peninsula Energy Limited (ASX:PEN, OTCQB:PENMF) has stocked up its war chest for the restart of the Lance Projects in the US #uranium stronghold of Wyoming later this year as well as initial operations by completing a fully underwritten equity raising for total funds of A$105.9 million. The final component of the raising was a A$39.8 million retail entitlement offer which attracted strong demand from existing shareholders at the offer price of A$0.10 per share. Applications were received for around 171.2 million shares for approximately A$17.1 million in the retail offer with the A$22.7 million shortfall to be issued to the underwriters of the entitlement offer.
