Even using terms like "Gold Medal" without being an official sponsor of the games can get your brand fined. 🇧🇷 So in Rio 2016 Olympics, Puma, who was not an official sponsor... ...Engaged in one of the most brilliant ambush marketing campaigns I've seen. Puma was the sponsor of the world fastest man: Usain Bolt. But since they weren't an official sponsor of the Olympics... He couldn't show any Puma logo on any of his equipment. 🧠 It was time for Puma's #marketing team to get creative. Right after Usain Bolt broke the world record, he pulled his signature pose. But this time, he had a pair of golden shoes in his hand. The shoes didn't show any brand or logo... BUT immediately after the race, 📲 Puma posted an image of the shoes in every social media site. They also included the hashtag: #ForeverFastest Which was exactly what Bolt's shoes had written over them. They started posting images of the shoes every time Bolt would run. And this way, without spending the millions of $ that take to become an official sponsor of the Olympics... Creativity in merging the BITING of a Medal and a Britannia biscuit It has become a trend for medal winners to bite the medal, while posing for photographers.  A young kid biting a round shaped biscuit instead of a round shaped medal, and aspires to become a medal winner one day!  Loved it. 2. TIME based opportunity  Olympics starts from 26th July 2024 in Paris. While India is currently caught in the viral fever of IPL, this Ad becomes the first one to create hype for Olympics starting in 3 months 3. Celebrating non-cricketing SPORTS STARS I personally love, when I see non-cricketing stars getting Ads and the limelight they totally deserve. I support any brand, which supports such stars  4. BRAND recall / Brand hammering  Britannia is an highly established brand, hence doesn't need brand recall...only brand hammering. 6.
