AH Lundberg Systems offers a wide variety of Vent Gas Heat Recovery Systems (HRS)! 🌿 These systems offer high-efficiency heat recovery from industrial plants' waste gases, typically vented into the atmosphere. The process involves an indirect co-current condenser, recovering heat from flue gases into a glycol solution. The systems can includes a glycol recirculation, an induced draft fan and stack, an acid condensate handling system, and auxiliary heat exchangers to utilize the captured heat. "Can you come look at our system? The manufacturer came and told us to replace the pumps, but something doesn't feel right." We went to this mining customer's remote site to commission two HYDAC Group FAM 45 Dehydration Units. But when one of the site reliability managers saw we could help, they immediately asked us about a hydraulic system running a coal reclaimer that was faulty. The thermal cams showed high temp on the inlet side of the pumps. The manufacturer's branch rep from Mexico had been there and had recommended they replaced the pumps. They were quoted and a PO was about to be released. We told them to remove the suction strainers. You could hear those pumps squealing. Upon inspection, we found out they had placed a pressure filter element (10 micron), on the suction strainer somehow. (Yikes). We told them to remove them altogether. "Really!?? Remove the strainers!!!" Yes, remove them, and that's all you need to do to fix the issue. Problem went away. No pumps were needed. -- We charge for our services. We supply only top of the line hydraulic and lube solutions. But we will never leave you hanging looking for a short term transaction.
