So far this semester working at Featherstones Grille I have learned how to serve a larger amount of customers at a faster pace to be more effective in the workforce. In doing this, I have made more money from tips and have more time to help other servers if they need it or start early on server closing duties. Starting on server closing duties early is good so that you're not procrastinating, but if this effects your ability to serve you should wait. I have also learned to have a flexible schedule as the workplace requires you to come in on days off. Serving a larger amount of customers at a faster pace has been beneficial to make more money while working as I already stated with the tips. Starting on server closing duties is beneficial because I get to leave closer to closing time instead of staying late doing nothing. Lastly, having a flexible schedule is beneficial for my future because it represents what I will need to have for my important future jobs. Check out what's going on at the PSEJATC!
Located in the vibrant tech hub of Seattle, the Puget Sound Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (PSEJATC) stands as a beacon of opportunity for IBEW members and NECA Contractors. With graduating apprentices having worked on projects for prestigious companies like Amazon and Microsoft, Seattle boasts one of the largest limited energy programs in the USA, offering abundant prospects for growth and development. However, amidst the city's expansive tech landscape, a significant challenge arises: the demand for skilled laborers outpaces the available workforce. In response to this pressing need, PSEJATC has embraced innovative solutions, notably the Computer-Mediated Learning (CML) model. Learn more about how PSEJATC continues to empower apprentices to succeed in the ever-evolving landscape of the electrical industry in today’s feature video! - #electricaltraining #electricalapprentice #ibew #electricalindustry

Edge Foundation is an independent foundation, inspiring the education system to give all young people the knowledge, skills and behaviour to flourish. In February 2024, Edge surveyed over 2,000 adults across England to gather views on the education system, the technical and vocational pathways that are available, and what changes they would like to see for 16-18 year olds. One of the key findings was that technical and vocational pathways are perceived to be better preparation for life after school or college; 88% of people believe education should focus more on teaching young people skills that will be useful for the workplace and 81% think that technical and vocational qualifications should be equally as respected as 'academic' ones.
