prior to getting my certification in Human Resource management, I have been planning and managing events for over four years.I decided to go into Human Resource Management because it is closely related to Event Management since it deals with working with people. I always thought HR was all about hiring and recruiting, nothing more. Not until I took the course did I understand the concept of HR. This turning point came during the third week of the course -"Scope of Human Resource". I got to understand that Human Resource management covers areas like Compensation and Benefits, Training and Development, Performance Appraisal, HRIS specialist, Job Analysis, Organizational Development, etc. In other to meet up with the task ahead, I had to change my orientation about the course and accept it's vast contents. As soon as I did this, it became a walkover for me and in about 4 months, I got myself a certification In Human Resource management. What I've learnt during this journey: Sometimes in the process of getting that which we desire, we may be limited by the way we think towards that which we want. Not until we learn, unlearn and relearn, we are most likely not to get our desired results.
