Last week, we had the pleasure of hosting a dynamic workshop at our offices with Eurelectric , aelēc , various energy sector stakeholders, and consumer associations as part of Eurelectric’s 15 Pledges program.   The goal? To develop actionable solutions that accelerate consumer adoption of decarbonization measures. I had the privilege of facilitating a conversation on energy efficiency. Some of the data points that framed our discussion:   - Energy retailers have made significant efforts in offering innovative products and services, yet more than 80% of consumers remain unaware of these offerings.   - When informed, up to 50% of consumers adopt these solutions, and report high satisfaction. - Adoption rates have doubled since 2021, signalling progress, but costs still deter many, challenging the achievement of EU climate targets. - Environmental awareness is high: 81% of consumers express concern about their environmental impact. But 25% actively minimize their footprint (56% do so only when it aligns with convenience). ...but their actions tend to focus on cost-effective and easily implementable solutions, but with limited impact - Awareness of potential solutions vary across age groups (from 25% in +55 adults to 60% in young adults), highlighting the need for tailored communication strategies.   Thanks to all the participants for the participation and enthusiasm   #EnergyEfficiency #Decarbonization #Sustainability #15Pledges #Collaboration
