If your job drains you, no amount of money will make it worth it in the long run. - Don’t just chase the paycheck—find a job that makes you want to get up in the morning. - Think about what truly matters to you at work (like purpose, growth, and balance). Does the company match those needs? - Following the money alone can land you in a job that makes you miserable. - The best job isn’t just about how much you earn—it’s about how it makes you feel. What’s most important to you when looking for a job—money, growth, or something else? People say it's normal to not like your career. Not completely true. It's normal and possible to not enjoy your job, or even the field your career happens to be in. The differentiating factor is your level of commitment and satisfaction. A job can become a career based on just how much you enjoy that field. When you start to feel yourself waiver at a career it might be time to take a step back and analyze where those feelings are coming from. "When did this career that I chose become a job that I dread every day?" "What could I change about my career to make it more enjoyable?" These are things to think about when you update your resume (which you should always keep it up to date!) What's a job you stepped away from or a career you have changed? #selfcare #virtualassistantlife #mentalhealth #jobsatisfaction #alaskasmallbusiness #entrepreneur

Some people don't want to be managers. Some people don't want to move up. Some people don't want to be entrepreneurs. Why are we shaming? Some jobseekers want a job. A 9-5 with a paycheck and benefits. That's it. Plain and simple. Some want a career. Something that lets them move up, take on more. Something that inspires, motivates, excites. Plain and simple. Neither choice is wrong. Neither choice should be looked down on. Neither makes someone less intelligent, motivated or driven. Why do so company "experts" tell jobseekers their choices are wrong. They simply aren't. They're just different than yours. The only ideal job for you is the one that YOU want, not what the gurus tell you should go after. The job journey is different for each of us. More support, less shame. Be a good human.

Losing your job! It's not the end of the world! An unexpected job loss can be a shock and cause a range of emotions, from disbelief to anger to sadness. However, it is important to remember that this is not the end of the world. When one door closes, another opens. Losing a job can be the beginning of a new chapter in your career. It can provide an opportunity to re-evaluate your career goals and look for a job that better aligns with them. This may be an opportunity to learn new skills or enhance existing ones. You can take online courses or attend workshops, which may make you more marketable to future employers, having missed out on a lot of new skills as a result of being immersed in work. Furthermore, losing a job can motivate you to reach out to your network that you may have neglected due to your busyness, and even make new connections. The more we know that networking is a powerful tool in job searching. If you have ever dreamed of starting your own business, this may be the right time to explore it. Now you have enough time to think and study, as well as a clear mind for good planning. Losing a job can provide a break from the daily grind. Use this time to rest, recharge your batteries, and take care of your mental and physical health. Remember, it's okay to feel upset or stressed after losing a job, but life is not over! Job opportunities are scarce and competition is fierce, but be absolutely certain that Allah will provide for you. Pray to the Creator. Seek support from friends, family, or specialists if necessary. And remember, many successful people have experienced a job loss and used that as a stepping stone to bigger things. Stay positive and keep moving forward! This photo is from the inspiring famous movie “The Pursuits of Happiness” starring Will Smith, when he got his dream job after miserable times of failure. #jobs #excellence
