What's an HR trend that will persist into 2024 and beyond? Employee Experience Design. Gone are the days where we segmented HR work into neat categories like learning, development, and talent acquisition. What's emerging now is a more holistic approach, where the journey of an employee takes center stage. We're diving deep into their experiences, identifying what's lacking or could be improved, and systematically addressing these issues. It's a complete paradigm shift from the past HR practices, which often overlooked the employee perspective. And it's not just in theory; we're seeing practical applications too. Companies are now introducing roles like Head of Employee Experience or Head of Remote, especially in fully remote organizations. These roles are fundamentally different from traditional HR roles as they focus on putting themselves in the shoes of an employee, rather than viewing things from a purely HR-centric perspective.
