This was in 2022 when I took a leap of faith to launch MUAZU AFRICA in Moremi Hall at Sheraton Hotel among the majority of women social innovators. 2 years down the line, women-owned social enterprises are doubling in number. More and more women are starting businesses that seek to create positive social & environmental impact. These businesses are committed to making a difference in their communities, and they are helping to reshape the business landscape in Nigeria. Women like Doyinmola Paul-Oyewusi of Dhoney Adire and Craft Nigeria. A movement promoting sustainable fashion and responsible consumption. At its core, the brand addresses the problem of wasteful clothing disposal and its environmental repercussions. By repurposing old clothing, Doyinmola contributes to curbing climate change and inspiring mindful consumption. Women like Charlot Magayi of Mukuru Clean Stoves who is currently building a 30,000 square foot sustainable energy campus in Kenya and developing a malaria fighting fuel and has manufactured and distributed over 400,000 life saving cookstoves, impacting the lives of 2,000,000 Kenyans living in poverty. Women like Amarachukwu Ruth Nwokokoro CPLP of Iruka, who uses a buy one give one model through her clothing brand to send a girl child to school. Women like Financial Jennifer, founder of Fintribe, Nigeria's first and largest women-only finance community. With over 20,000 women trained in personal finance and thousands guided on their investment journeys. Today, I encourage every women-owned or led social enterprises to take courage in partnerships as we build! Well done for all the great works. ——————————————————————— Kindly mention a social entrepreneur that needs to be spotlighted MUAZU AFRICA. #WCW #Women #Spotlight #SocialImpact #SocialEntrepreneurs #Africa

Capacity Building, technical knowledge, and skills acquisition are key to development in Africa and coming back home to Nigeria, especially in the Northern part of the country. The poverty index has increased, Inflation has risen and is rising every day and there seems to be no hope for our budding entrepreneurs. Access to low-cost funding and the market will develop our entrepreneurs hence at Serendipity we have these three types of Interventions under our Wealth Creation projects where we train youths in capacity building, digital technology in agriculture, stop hunger project, and technical skill training on waste to wealth and processing. We did our project on wealth creation recently when we trained women in agriculture in collaboration with one of our partners where we trained 45 young females on operational management and strategic planning to help them grow in their agribusiness. They were also taught how to pitch their business getting them ready for a pitch competition to gain funds to grow their businesses.
