Tourism potential in 2024. North Cyprus as one of the most popular destination 🌴 Here's why: • Affordable Real Estate: One of the major draws to North Cyprus has been its relatively low property prices compared to other Mediterranean locations. This affordability, coupled with attractive property investment incentives, has drawn both investors looking for high returns on rentals and individuals seeking vacation homes or retirement properties. • Natural Beauty and Climate: North Cyprus boasts stunning landscapes, beautiful beaches, and a warm Mediterranean climate, making it an ideal location for tourism and residency. This has led to a growing number of tourists and expatriates choosing North Cyprus as a destination to explore, relax, and live. • Improved Infrastructure: Over the years, North Cyprus has seen significant improvements in infrastructure, including upgrades to roads, airports, and utilities, enhancing the quality of life and making it more accessible for international visitors and residents. • Political Stability and Safety: Relative political stability in recent years and a reputation for safety compared to other regions have made North Cyprus more appealing to international visitors and expatriates. • Lifestyle and Community: The welcoming community and relaxed lifestyle in North Cyprus are highly attractive to people from more crowded urban centers. The multicultural environment, with a mix of local and international residents, offers a diverse community experience. #investment #environment #infrustructure #tourism

Greece significantly increased its tourist activity in the first half of 2024. According to the latest data from INSETE, there were 9.7 million international air arrivals, surpassing the January-June 2023 level by 855 thousand passengers (+9.6%). This is undoubtedly good news for one of Greece’s main sources of income. The Bank of Greece estimates that tourism contributes about 18% of the country’s GDP and employs 900 thousand workers. However, to ensure the long-term viability of the tourism industry, the goal for the country must be to provide high-quality services in a sustainable way. Hence, it is encouraging to note that according to Olga Kefalogianni, Minister of Tourism, sustainable tourism development is a strategic priority of her Ministry. The existence of appropriate infrastructure is of paramount importance with top priorities involving the upgrade of hospitals, the circular reorganization of waste management, the modernization of water supply and enhancing the safety of the road network. For a country that during the summer months hosts tourists amounting to well over three times its population, building adequate infrastructure to support the short-term increased demand is an arduous economic task. Meanwhile, striking a balance between economic growth, preservation of the local culture and protection of our unique natural environment is a complicated endeavor that requires an honest, cool-headed and undogmatic dialogue. With these thoughts I am wishing you an invigorating summer break. #AmChamGR #Greece #Saracakis #InMotionForOveraCentury #tourism #economy #sustainability #circulareconomy #infrastracture #culture

Severe Copium, 80% of the country (Greece) is urbanized. There are 30 million tourists (3x the Greek population) a year visiting the same urban areas and tourist overdevelopment is contributing to the growing cases of forest fires which are devastating the country. If Greece spent the same effort it does with tourism on developing its trade or production or simply lowering the VAT taxes on trade and production to the same level it charges hotels and air BNB's, Greece could aspire to be the Netherlands of the Mediterranean in terms of development. Urbanization and the investment dearth in rural areas is a threat to Greece, to its very development and to its traditional culture. To reverse urbanization and bring it to a balanced level in this country 50/50 will require investments in any part of Greece except Athens and Thessaloniki. But the powers that be prefer a rentier economy, where we dont increase productive pursuits but instead transfer wealth from one pocket to the other, from the itinerant to the landlord.

The proposed toll road between Almaty and Lake Issyk-Kul, which could cost travelers $10 to $25, represents a significant step forward in regional infrastructure development. This initiative not only promises to enhance connectivity between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan but also to boost tourism and economic ties. However, it's essential that the pricing remains accessible to all travelers, ensuring that this project benefits both locals and international tourists alike. https://lnkd.in/de7VuugE

Northern Cyprus is an island state in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is known for its long sandy beaches, abundant sunshine, excellent cuisine and friendly locals. Historical tensions between the north and south of Cyprus have meant that until recently tourism and development were concentrated in the south. Today relations are comfortable and business continues as usual on both sides of the border. This situation creates an opportunity for property investors and those looking to buy a home abroad as prices in Northern Cyprus are affordable and approaching the tourism boom. For now, property in Northern Cyprus remains incredibly affordable. The best offers are unfinished projects, where you can buy a property even cheaper than the average per square foot offered by Alliance-Estate specialists. #forbes_magazine #north_cyprus #real_state
