But we didn't have a lot of options for measuring the value that our customers are getting from our products. Do you help customers measure the ROI of your solution? Yes? No? Sort of? With the ongoing consolidation of tech stacks at many companies, there’s mounting pressure on CSMs to produce results and prove the ROI and viability of their solutions. So where do you start? First, it’s the customer who determines what “value” and success look like. Which is why it’s critical to identify the right metrics to measure and make it easy for your Champions to communicate progress to THEIR leaders. It’s all about ongoing discovery conversations with your customer. CSMs not only need to identify milestones, create alignment, and develop a partnership with customers but you have to ensure that their priorities haven’t changed along the way.
