Katina Davidson (Kullilli/Yuggera), QAGOMA’s Curator of Indigenous Australian Art, is the recipient of a prestigious curatorial fellowship offered by Creative Australia in collaboration with the Kluge-Ruhe Aboriginal Art Collection of the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. Katina will research and curate an exhibition that focuses on paintings by Spinifex People from Tjuntjuntjara, Western Australia produced between 2010 and 2021. Kluge-Ruhe holds one of the most significant collections of Aboriginal art outside of Australia, with works by leading artists including Lawrence Pennington, Tjaruwa Woods and Patju Presley.
