Transforming Facilities Management with 29+ Years of Asset, Real Estate Operations and Business Development Expertise
Anyone who follows the recent matches in the Asian and African championships realizes how minutes can flip realities in a matter of seconds and wishes, raising hands in joy and victory with the precious goal. Mozambique advances over Egypt in two minutes as the match gasps its last breath, and then, in the crazy Egyptian minute, they insist on making their presence felt and gift their fans a goal with the taste of victory, saving them from defeat. Tunisia loses yesterday to the modest Namibian team in the last minute of the match. Oman team plays heroically and leads, and Saudi Arabia, after the end of the original match time, scores the winning goal in the last minute of added time. There are other examples of crazy minutes in several matches for those who understood the importance of every minute, gave it its due, and remained committed to not wasting it as long as it exists and hopes are pinned. Many lessons are drawn from those last-minute events. The early celebration of teams led to their complacency and lessened defense, which resulted in conceding goals. At the same time, the persistence, determination, and refusal to give up by the other side, fighting until the last moment, enabled them to achieve goals in crucial minutes. Much like those pivotal moments on the field, our professional lives are often defined by how we handle the final stretches of our challenges. It's not just about leading or trailing in the early stages; it's about maintaining focus, adapting strategies, and harnessing the will to succeed, especially when it matters most. These lessons from the world of sports remind us to stay #resilient, keep pushing boundaries, and never underestimate the power of a well-timed effort. In the end, it's these defining moments that shape our successes and teach us the true value of persistence and belief in our goals. #Sportsmanship #ProfessionalGrowth #PersistencePaysOff #Resilience #StrategicThinking #LeadershipLessons #Teamwork #SuccessMindset #GoalSetting #NeverGiveUp #AFC2024

#Cricket has always been close to my heart. Growing up in Calcutta, home to the Eden Gardens, it was perhaps inevitable. The #cityofjoy, all of #India really, loves cricket. So even when I am not actively paying attention, I am paying attention. Afghanistan’s win over Australia and progression to the semifinals of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is truly commendable… but for me the #realstory is the Afghan women’s cricket team. Yes, the forgotten women’s cricket team which has been in #exile in #Australia since 2021. Good on Australia for providing refuge. But when will things change? Afghani women are not allowed to play cricket, or study, or work for that matter…in 2024. How is that okay? Hopefully, the success of the men’s team will shine the light and open doors for the women’s team and #Afghaniwomen in general. Let’s hope the right pressure is applied, back channel discussions and diplomacy bear fruit. As we rightly celebrate the success of the men’s team we should not forget about the women. Update - very disappointing that the UN-led talks in Doha scheduled for 30 June 2024, which includes a delegation from the Taliban and envoys from 22 other nations does not include Afghan Women. Rights of #Afghaniwomen should be a key item on the agenda and they should have representation. Such a shame and wasted opportunity. #womensrights #cricket #womenscricket #T20WC #UN #Doha
