To mark 3 years since the adoption of the EU Cancer Plan and leading up to World Cancer Day, the EU Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides, hosted a high-level event in Brussels this week. The main themes of the event included: * EU Cancer Plan can pride itself on major accomplishments, including the right to be forgotten for European cancer survivors and implementing inter-specialty cancer training in 100 centres across Europe. * More remains to be done to tackle cancer inequalities as throughout the EU people do not have the same chance to survive cancer. * To comprehensively tackle cancer we need strong national, regional and EU-level cooperation networks at all levels including political, research and clinical care.
