As CEO, I spend a good deal of time talking with investors, analysts, associates, and current and prospective colleagues. I certainly have this week, as we announced our quarterly earnings. No matter who I am speaking with, one of the most common questions I get about our company is: what makes Veralto special? It’s the culture. The axiom widely attributed to Peter Drucker that “culture eats strategy for breakfast” has become cliché. But the reason for its ubiquity? It is grounded in truth. I cannot understate the importance of relentless focus on culture – on creating experiences for stakeholders that are impactful and authentic. When we were standing up Veralto and preparing to become an independent public company, my executive leadership team spent a lot of time thinking about the culture of the organization we were creating. What are our values? What is our impact on our stakeholders and the planet? What is the experience we want to create for our customers, our associates, our investors, and our communities? Whether you’re creating a culture from the ground up as Veralto did upon our founding, or you are thinking about the culture of your current workplace, a few things to consider: 1) Be Intentional About Culture. Culture doesn’t just happen. And it’s not just about hosting events for your colleagues where they get food. It is about creating experiences, shared values, and expectations for work product that are delivered on every. single. day. 2) Go Big and Be Bold. I remember when I gathered the Veralto Executive Team as we were standing up our new company to define our values. We wrestled for a while with one of them – “We serve humanity with purpose and integrity.” It felt big. It felt audacious. And ultimately that is why we chose it. Our products and services ensure billions of people around the world have clean water, safe food and trusted essential goods. If that’s not serving humanity, I don’t know what is, so we bring the importance of our work into the culture of our business. 3) Add Operational Discipline. Every experience you create for your colleagues is another proof point in fortifying or undermining your culture. So, decide how you are going to measure the way you create culture. Look for both leading and lagging indicators of how culture contributes to performance. And regularly inspect and manage the way you bring culture to life. Our quarterly performance reflects the Veralto culture well – grounded in our ambitious values, fortified by operational rigor of our Veralto Enterprise System, and fixed on delivering a positive, enduring impact on our planet. How do you drive culture in your organization?

Fostering a Culture of Ownership: Empowering Employees to Drive Company Success As Quick Silver Systems has evolved, one key lesson I've learned is the power of fostering a culture of ownership. Empowering your team to take charge of their work and make decisions unleashes their potential. Although we've grown, we're still a tight-knit team where everyone wears multiple hats. This has ingrained a strong sense of ownership in our culture. Our people are experts in their domains, and they know best how to innovate and solve problems. I believe a leader's role is to provide the vision, resources, and support to enable their team to excel. Trusting your employees shows that you value their skills and judgment, boosting morale and encouraging creative thinking. My advice to other leaders? Hire excellent people, equip them to thrive, and create an environment where they feel a sense of ownership in driving the company mission forward. You'll be amazed at what they achieve! #OwnershipMindset, #EmpowerYourTeam, #InnovationThroughTrust
