The Thai government is committed to active learning. The 20-Year Basic Education Master Plan (2018-2037) states that active learning is a key component of the reformed Thai education system. The plan also calls for the development of new teaching and learning materials that support active learning. Sumitomo Corporation Thailand Ltd (SCTL) believes that teacher development is essential for enhancing the active classroom. When teachers are equipped with the knowledge and skills to create an engaging and interactive learning environment, students are more likely to be motivated and successful. SCTL has aligned its mission with Kenan Foundation Asia to co-create a teacher development program called the "Light-Up" project. The project helps teachers understand the benefits of active learning, which is an approach to teaching that engages students in the learning process through hands-on activities, problem-solving, and collaboration. To prepare teachers from rural areas in Angthong Province to transform their classrooms into 21st-century classrooms, Kenan conducted a three-day teacher development workshop. The workshop provided teachers with the tools and resources they need to implement active learning strategies in their real classrooms. During the workshop, teachers actively participated in science experiment activities. These activities are a great way for kids to learn about the scientific method and to practice critical thinking skills such as hypothesis testing, data analysis, and problem-solving. We were delighted to learn that 92% of the participants liked the "Light-Up" project and were willing to promote it within their communities. The SCTL 100SEED committee, led by President and CEO Kozo To, also enjoyed the activities and believes that the project will change teaching pedagogies to encourage students to ask questions, explore the world around them, and not be afraid to say "I don't know." Kudos Ronnarong Khankheag, @Chanon Phajunda, Thitirat Thoop - in , Kandhapong Jeowkok , and Jarusri Jiravisitkul for nurturing active learning in Thailand. It is a positive sign for the future of education in the country. Active learning has the potential to help Thai students develop the knowledge, skills, and critical thinking abilities they need to succeed in the 21st century. #CSR #teachertraining #21stcenturyskills #21stcenturyeducation #activelearning #100SEED #sumitomo #sdg4 #stemeducation Sumitomo Corporation of Americas Sumitomo Corporation

I deliver structured basic learning information to adolescents for innovative enterprise and creative empowerment.
HOW AND WHERE WE PERFORM: THIS IS HERITAGE. Last Monday, January 8th, I became a Digital Computing Studies Instructor to implement principles and methodologies that respond to the interests of students and the school in this ever-evolving age. Due to insecurity, incessant kidnappings and loss of lives, I moved out of Isanlu Isin, Isin Local Government, Kwara state late last year which put my learning facilitation programme on hold. Towards my unwavering pursuit of African learning and organisational development. I took up a part-time role at Pastor Akinwunmi Memorial Academy, Modakeke, Ife East, Osun State. Realising the influence of teaching, basic learning, the essentials of digital and the use of advanced technology - I look forward to this opportunity. There might be a change in strategy, but the goal remains intact. It is another way of working out solutions to meet children's learning needs seamlessly. Not forgetting to help the youngsters discover and familiarise themselves with the exciting tools at their disposal to streamline universal principles, with individual peculiarities. In line with the core foundation of education as the source of relevant information and ideas, to identify required data to perform experiential tasks. As the bridge of human interrelationship with the various relative concepts. In creative, innovative and inspiring ways for effective use and efficient applications. To achieve competence and empowerment by self-discovery, purpose and fulfilment towards sustainable development of our societies and nation-building. #learning #innovation #esdg #development #education #social #inclusion #pedagogy #science #art #service #leadershipdevelopment #design #childlearning #colossophy #colossal #philosophy #instructionaldesign #education #socialpractice #humandevelopment #particapatoryart #illustration #concept

Compassion International, a holistic child and youth development organization, is committed to nurturing the intellectual skills of our participants to help them thrive in our ever-evolving world. To achieve this, we introduced the Literacy Strategy in communities where the academic performance of our participants was declining. The Literacy Strategy includes three models: the Blended Activities Learning Model (BALM), Literacy Enhancement Through Caregiver Action (LECA), and Literacy Improvement Through Technology (LITT). These models were tailored to address specific community needs. Allow us to introduce you to Ewurama, a beneficiary of the Blended Activities Learning Model (BALM), one of the components of our Literacy Strategy. BALM is a #comprehensive, multisensory model encompassing exploration, speaking, reading, and writing activities. Its purpose is to accelerate comprehension, retention, and communication skills. This model is designed to foster fundamental abilities in textual comprehension and #communication, including reading fluency, meaningful writing, active listening, and effective oral communication. BALM primarily focuses on exposing participants to literacy education through engagement, exploration, and evaluation. Through the BALM project, Ewurama's church center developed various resources, such as a phonics instruction guide, contextual reading guide, reading fluency guide, and a writing workshop, to track and assess project progress. Ewurama herself benefited from the BALM intervention, and it has substantially enhanced her literacy skills. Now, let's hear Ewurama's own #inspiring story. #compassion #CompassionGhana
