QNET's Chief Information Officer, Ivan Woo, along with Qi Group's delegation, had the honour of participating in the World Economic Forum (WEF)'s Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2024, also known as the Summer Davos, in Dalian, China. This esteemed event brought together 1,600 leaders from over 80 countries to address critical global challenges. Unsurprisingly, transformative AI took centre stage as the focal point of discussion, covering diverse topics such as the future of employment, the importance of ethical guidelines, responsible development, and the transformative potential of upskilling. Ivan was chosen as a discussion lead, known as a Firestarter in the WEF, to showcase how QNET has harnessed AI to enhance workplace productivity, streamline costs, and automate repetitive tasks. He also highlighted the significant role played by our Communications department, led by Ramya Chandrasekaran, in adopting AI and propelling QNET towards becoming a future-ready organization. This further demonstrates that AI is relevant to all departments, extending beyond IT. During the forum, participants from reputable companies across various industries explored the impact of AI, from optimizing operations to introducing revolutionary business models. As a Forum partner of the WEF, our parent company, QI Group, feels privileged to participate in such a transformative platform where members' pioneering efforts hold the promise of reshaping the world and fostering positive change. #SummerDavos #WEF #ANMC24 #AI #QNET

Wearing my SICC digitisation Co-chair hat today, I had the pleasure of hosting our first event at the beautiful Equinix office together with my Co-chair, Yee May Leong. We had the privilege of having Ms Doreen T. and Benjamin Gaw to delve into the intricacies of Singapore's National AI Strategy (NAIS) and the established AI framework within Singapore and ASEAN, aimed at supporting businesses in their AI adoption journey. Doreen outlined the strategy in empowering businesses through NAIS 2.0, emphasizing the importance of three key systems: Infrastructure and Environment, Activities Drivers, and People and communications. With Singapore standing at the forefront of driving AI adoption across various sectors, various programs such as SMEs Go Digital program, IMDA ESG Sandbox, and the Techskills accelerator program were also highlighted in the session. The key message? AI is no longer an opportunity, it is a necessity for businesses. Starting with small steps, businesses can pave the way for transformative AI adoption through digitalization and embracing the wide variety of solutions available today. #AI #Singapore #DigitalTransformation
