Indeed International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), rural women are our everyday heroes.. ■Supporting rural women is essential for their well-being and empowerment, as well as for the prosperity of their communities and the global economy. ■Rural women are the backbone of agricultural production, food security, and sustainable development, yet they face significant barriers in accessing resources, services, and opportunities. ■By providing rural women with the resources they need, such as land rights, education, healthcare, and finance, we can unlock their potential and foster a more equitable and sustainable world. ■Rural women are critical agents of change, driving innovation and resilience in the face of climate change, poverty, and social inequality. ■They are the primary caregivers and managers of natural resources, making them vital to environmental conservation and sustainability. ■By investing in rural women, we can enhance their productivity, improve their livelihoods, and promote a more inclusive and sustainable development model that benefits everyone. ■Empowering rural women is not only a moral imperative but also a strategic investment in our collective future. ■By supporting rural women, we can break the cycle of poverty, promote gender equality, and foster a more just and sustainable world. ■Let us recognize the value and contributions of rural women and work together to provide them with the resources, opportunities, and recognition they deserve. Our survey, which is open for young women to share their experiences on the #CostOfLiving crisis in Scotland, closes at 10am on 10 May. The #CostOfLiving crisis is having a devastating impact on women across Scotland. We know from existing research that women are facing deepening experiences of poverty and hardship. Due to the limitations in data in available data and research, there is a real lack of detailed evidence outlining the specific barriers that young women are facing, including how marginalised young women might be specifically disadvantaged by the current economic system. That's why The Young Women's Movement and Scottish Women's Budget Group have partnered on this new research project specifically exploring young women's experiences of the cost of living crisis through an intersectional feminist lens.
