Belated Post, however, Project Prometheus participated in the 10th Goedware Game Jam; while we didn't win any significant category, the surplus of positive reviews on the Jam's Page has done wonders for the morale to work on other projects. The experience gained from being forced to work under a sacrosanct time limit has been tremendous. It has given me not only technological experience but also more familiarization with myself as an individual. Published Jan 15, 2024; ~four days of development. Linked, the game is open for playing -> https://lnkd.in/eh3cKmaJ

I've been playing a lot of Hades II recently and I didn't know this but all of their code is viewable. It is not encrypted. It is not obfuscated. It's all in Lua. This isn't just Hades II. I have most of the their games so I downloaded Hades and Transistor. Hades is all Lua but Transistor has an idiosyncratic file type convention with .scripts and .txt and .world_scripts with the main file being Lua.

Terminal Tip Tuesday I've been maintaining my vi configuration for more years than I'd like to mention. From vi to vim to SpaceVIM and now NeoVim, I've carried some part of that configuration forward. Well, I finally threw it all away and started fresh with NeoVim. If you are like me and have a config that is more than a couple of years old I recommend you do the same. Package managers and lua make life so much easier. * lua > vimscript * init.lua & friends > .vimrc * NeoVim > vim > vi I found this series of vides helpful : https://lnkd.in/gWHQPt_X There is good stuff to be had if you are new to NeoVim or a vi veteran. Some of the plugins I find useful/fun Theme : catppuccine Splash Screen : alpha Status bar: lualine LSP/coding : mason, mason-lspconfig, nvim-lspconfig, treesitter File Management : neotree, telescope Do any other users of Neovim have plugin suggestions?
