The biggest mistake small businesses are making with their social media videos is trying to be too branded. What I mean is that every video looks and feels like a TV commercial with a formal intro and outro that’s branded with their logo, brand colors and contact info. Sometimes they don’t even both to format it vertically for platforms where that’s the norm. Everything is a little too polished, a little too corporate, and does not at all reflect what the social media video landscape looks like today. When you see experts talk about authenticity, this is what they’re really getting at.
