🗓️ 30 June 2024: Mini-pupillage application deadline There is just over one week left to apply for mini-pupillage at Quadrant Chambers. Mini-pupillage is an invaluable opportunity to get a glimpse into life as a barrister. You will spend time reading papers, carrying out legal research and discussing cases with barristers. You may also have the opportunity to sit in on conferences, court hearings and arbitrations. Applications are open to second year degree students interested in pursuing a career at the Commercial Bar with an expected class of an upper second or above. #Pupillagejourney You’d always remember your first visit to anywhere, wouldn’t you? I certainly will remember my first time at the High Court, Criminal Division, on 09.10.2024 I witnessed the end-to-end court process, and two key lessons made it into my “Pupillage Reference” book: 1. The Importance of Communication: I observed the art of advising clients, noting how effectively my superiors simplified complex concepts of the law. 2. Document Preparation: Whether for the court or the client, having extra copies of documents is helpful. Better prepared than not. I’m excited as I head into my fourth week of pupillage, eager to continue learning and growing in this challenging yet rewarding environment.
