Sweden purchases over 300 armoured vehicles from Patria The Swedish Defence Procurement Agency (FMV) has signed a contract to buy 321 six-wheeled armoured vehicles from the international defence and technology company Patria. The contract has a value of around 470 million euros and is one of the largest ever in Sweden for Patria.   The 321 vehicles, which in Sweden are called Pansarterrängbil 300, will be stationed at Livgardet regiment in Kungsängen and several other units around the country. Patria has previously delivered 20 6x6 vehicles which were ordered in a separate contract signed in April 2023.  The Patria 6x6 vehicle set for delivery is the troop transportation model, which offers the latest vehicle technology such as state-of-the-art protection for up to 12 crew members.  The vehicle is modular and can be configured for a wide range of different purposes. On this armed forces day as I reflect on my 22 years service in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Balkans, I can only be humbled by the loss of life and sheer brutality experienced by men of the 100th Bomb Group (Bloody Hundredth) flying from RAF Thorpe Abbots in 1943-1945. Hand drawn map by person unknown, dated 26 April 1941, of presumed landing strips and aerodromes etc in Southern Thailand. The map seems to have been produced after the War Office deployed at least one Malaya Command Army Officer ostensibly functioning as an MI2 operative (British Military Intelligence Section 2 originally set up to handle geographic information) into Sth Thailand April (and later June) 1941 for recon. Paucity of detailed AO info on this particular map is astounding in comparison to others produced in Europe, Middle East and Nth Africa. Note negligible beach INT or other terrain ie jungle, rubber plantations, tin mines, riverine or mountain etc info.

Question- This is a very common sign board which one can see in military installations. These came up mostly after the attack on Pathankot Air Base. What do you think is wrong with it from a lega/constitutional stand point?

Moving out of state is not an easy task!
