Software Engineer and Test Automation | Fluent in Java, Python, Bash and JS | Nerd of all trades, Geek of some | Open Source Contributor | Polyglot | Problem Solving and AI/ML Enthusiast | ex-IBM intern
🎉 I did it! Officially a graduate! 🎉 I'm beyond thrilled to share that I’ve graduated with a Bachelor of Information Technology, double majoring in Software Technology and Data Science from Macquarie University! 🧑💻 This journey has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Starting uni during COVID, adapting to remote learning while offshore, and dealing with time zone differences all while tackling a double major was no walk in the park. Throw in a country change mid-degree, and it could’ve been overwhelming—but I made it through. It only made me stronger, more adaptable, and ready for anything! 💪 A huge thank you to my amazing professors and peers for their unwavering support, especially through the tough times. I’m incredibly grateful to Macquarie University for making it possible to gain the invaluable industry experience as a Software Engineering intern at IBM—it was a game-changer. 🙏 And of course, I couldn't have done it without the love and support of my family and friends. You’ve been my rock through late-night study sessions, deadlines, and everything in between. I owe a big part of this success to you. ❤️ This isn’t the end—it’s just the beginning. Ready to take on the next big challenge in Tech World and bring everything I’ve learned into the real world. The future looks bright! 🌟 #Graduation #Bachelors #ProudMoment #SoftwareEngineering #TechJourney #ProblemSolving #MacquarieUniversity #Gratitude #FamilyAndFriends #NewBeginnings #TheBestIsYetToCome

In 2022, I landed in Australia to pursue a master’s degree and plan for a PhD. But life had its own twists. Now, I find myself fully immersed in the dynamic world of Australian corporate life as a Data Scientist. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities my way and honestly, I’m just rolling with them. These past two years have been eye-opening. Within months, I realised how much I'd taken for granted the privileges and proximity of family and friends back home. As I spent a year mostly indoors studying, I saw others earning and gaining work experience. That sparked my curiosity about Australian corporate life and the real-world impact of my knowledge. Diving into market research, I soon discovered the fierce competitiveness and rich opportunities in data science. I landed an internship, expecting a straightforward few months. But life tossed me a curveball. The industrial research opportunity I was eyeing slipped through my fingers and I found myself torn between a PhD offer in a completely different field and a job offer from my CEO. Honestly, it wasn’t just a gut decision; I weighed everything—current circumstances and potential future impacts—before choosing to step into the corporate world. Sure, it hasn't all been smooth sailing here in Australia. There have been tough days and moments when I've questioned my choices. But it's my persistence that keeps me going, always pushing me to stay motivated and tackle whatever comes my way. The PhD dream is still alive. Find your passion and build your skills around it. Stay persistent, stay confident and sometimes remember to go easy on yourself. Above all, always carry a sense of gratitude. During my master’s at the University of Adelaide, I earned more than just a degree; I learned a new way to approach problems, think critically and make decisions. Huge thanks to my family, friends, colleagues, Krish Naik, one of the teachers I learned a lot from online and Genéne Kleppe, one of the visionaries I deeply respect. I’m committed to making you all proud. I’m here not just to succeed but to make my mark. Cheers to future adventures and the promise of continuous growth and discovery! #staypersistent #datascience #growth #begrateful

Equipping 10,000 Professionals for Dream Careers by 2027 | Forbes Contributor | LinkedIn Top Voice | 2024 Young Business Person Of The Year
Between 2020 and 2021 (the year immediately after the start of the pandemic), post-secondary institutions conferred over one million associate degrees, according to data from the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). Associate degrees are popular, and may increase in popularity as more employers favor skills-based hiring, and aspiring professionals lean towards opting out of expensive four-year degrees. Both employers and professionals around the world are recognizing that there is more to acquiring new skills and being "job-ready" than undertaking the traditional college route. While prestige and high-paying jobs are typically associated with bachelor's degree holders and post-graduates, the reality is that there are many high-paying jobs and fulfilling careers that you can get with an associate degree alone. Let's look at a few of them, in my recent Forbes excluisve. https://lnkd.in/e7Gjezjm
