We are delighted to welcome Brian Hartzer who joins us this week as CEO for Quantium Health. Over the past three years, Brian has been a trusted strategic advisor to Quantium. During this time, he has cultivated a deep understanding and passion for the business, our partners, and the value our Quantium team unlocks each day as we forge a better, more insightful world. A big thank you to Neil Soderlund for establishing Quantium Health as a global leader in health analytics. We look forward to Neil continuing to support Quantium’s strategic ambitions as senior advisor to Quantium and Non-Executive Director on the Quantium Health Board. Brian says, "It's an honour to be leading the Quantium Health business. Through my work as company director and leadership advisor, it’s clear that nearly every leader is thinking seriously about AI, and Quantium is one of the few businesses with the capability to deploy data science and AI effectively and at scale. If only I knew “X” then I could make decision “Y” which would deliver “Z” value to our organisation. Which is very different to - “it’d be great to know how that demographic is segmented…”. Why? Enjoy the challenge of complexity of the new role Brian.

I'm joining the Statistical Advisory Committee (SAC) for an exciting new Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) Digital Health Measurement Collaborative Community (DATAcc) (https://lnkd.in/gehPP2iR) project! The DATAcc is "a collaborative community with the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH)." As a SAC member, I'll be able to directly improve healthcare standards and clinical trial regulations across industry, government, and academia through methodological excellence. The project is focused on improving analytical validation processes for novel digital measures by refining current statistical methodologies—and assessing their performance with real-world data. 📝 We will help define industry-wide digital endpoints derived from digital health technologies (DHTs). I was extremely honored to be invited by DiMe to help shape this seminal work. As I wrote under question 5 of my 2022 Forbes-linked interview (https://lnkd.in/grZancbY), getting digital measures ship-shape is a critical gap—and I’m inspired by what DiMe and others have been doing to fix it. #digitalhealth #digitalmedicine #digitalhealthtechologies #digitalhealthcare #digitalendpoints

However, concerns have been raised regarding whether these algorithms contain biases that affect their accuracy with diverse patient populations. Dandelion Health was funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to develop a free public service for auditing machine learning-based clinical algorithms to provide structured feedback on algorithm performance and equity. In this webinar, Elliott Green, co-founder and CEO, and Shivaani Prakash, MSc, PhD, head of data, from Dandelion Health will share about their program that uses an expansive de-identified dataset from millions of patient records so developers can build and test the performance of their algorithms across diverse types of patients. There is increasing recognition of the crucial role digital measures play in enabling early diagnosis, informing the development of novel treatments and delivering innovative care to people living with Parkinson’s. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is proud to partner with The Digital Health Measurement Collaborative Community (DATAcc) by the Digital Medicine Society (DiMe) and the Critical Path Institute (C-Path) to add 94 digital solutions that support PD to DATAcc’s Library of Digital Measurement Products. DATAcc’s Library of Digital Measurement Products is an interactive, searchable database cataloging sensor-based digital health technologies, high-quality digital clinical measures, measurement tools, and datasets.
