This ecosystem encompasses start-ups and scale-ups in quantum computing and quantum networking, as well as international companies that join the House of Quantum to establish a Dutch or European presence in proximity to the quantum talent that is concentrated in Delft. 🤝 The companies within the Delft ecosystem are transforming laboratory discoveries into tangible real-world applications, extending the quantum domain to involve an increasing number of people and disciplines. As the ecosystem has expanded, these enterprises and our collaborative research have become an integral part of our joint efforts to advance quantum technology. Put your quantum solution to the test with funding from the Australian Government’s Critical Technologies Challenge Program (CTCP). We are looking to our brightest innovators to test and develop quantum technology solutions for 4 of Australia’s most significant national challenges. 🏆 Challenge 1: Optimise the performance, sustainability, and security of energy networks. 🏆 Challenge 2: Improve medical imaging and medical sensors to support diagnosis, treatment of disease and monitoring activities inside the human body. 🏆 Challenge 3: Enhance communication with autonomous systems in varying environments. 🏆 Challenge 4: Optimise and reduce the impact of resource exploration, extraction, and mineral processing. The Australian Government's Critical Technologies Challenge Program (CTCP) has a new grant program for quantum and space aligned projects.   With up to $36 million in funding available, this initiative aims to enhance communication services in vital Australian industries like agriculture, healthcare, and mining. 🌾🏥⛏️   Australia's expertise in quantum technology is already well-established, from silicon and optical quantum computing to quantum communications networks and sensing technologies. Innovations in the communication sector with autonomous systems could significantly enhance workforce productivity, particularly in regional Australia. Space technologies applicable to this grant include: - quantum enabled positioning, - navigation, and timing (PNT), - quantum communication, - and quantum cryptography.   'The space domain is a key enabler of quantum services, and the use of quantum technologies has become more prevalent in this sector' - Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency   Applications open until 2 July 2024   Learn more: https://lnkd.in/d2BCjgid

Apply for round one of the Australian Government’s $36 million Critical Technologies Challenge Program for a chance to receive up to $5.5 million over two funding stages to test and develop quantum solutions to innovation-based challenges: · Challenge 1: Optimise the performance, sustainability, and security of energy networks. · Challenge 2: Improve medical imaging and medical sensors to support diagnosis, treatment of disease and monitoring activities inside the human body. · Challenge 3: Enhance communication with autonomous systems in varying environments. · Challenge 4: Optimise and reduce the impact of resource exploration, extraction, and mineral processing. Applicants must form consortia to apply. Consortia must have at least one Australian industry-based partner and one Australian research organisation. International partners can also join consortia but cannot be the lead applicant.
