❤️🩹Tʜᴇ Aʀᴛ ᴏꜰ Rᴇᴀꜱꜱᴜʀɪɴɢ Mʏ Pᴀᴛɪᴇɴᴛꜱ 🏥 I like being in the #hospital. As weird as that may sound to some people, I sincerely get a sense of purpose and fulfillment taking care of patients. I enjoy interacting with my #patients and thinking about what possible pathology could be going on and how to solve it so that they become well and stay well. It's been only a few months of practising medicine with close supervision from my senior colleagues. I see it as a privilege to have people trust me with their health and bodies. I actively listen to my patients with great respect, empathy, compassion and an increasing level of competence. I've learned and am still learning many clinical and soft skills needed in caring for my patients. Every time I come back home, I reflect on some of the patients I saw. I study some more about their cases and say a prayer for them. 😊🙏 One practice I've been intentional about is #𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 my patients. While there should be complete transparency in communicating the medical findings. It is also important to cater to patients' emotions. Reassuring patients is a vital aspect of #healthcare that can significantly impact patient satisfaction, trust, and outcomes. A reassuring approach can help alleviate anxiety, fear, and uncertainty, creating a positive experience for patients. Tᴇᴄʜɴɪqᴜᴇꜱ ꜰᴏʀ Rᴇᴀꜱꜱᴜʀɪɴɢ Pᴀᴛɪᴇɴᴛꜱ 💡 📌Listen attentively to patients' concerns. 📌Show understanding and kindness. 📌Explain diagnoses, treatments, and procedures clearly. 📌Use nonverbal cues like nodding and smiling. 📌Acknowledge patients' feelings and concerns. 📌Provide patients with resources and information. 📌Follow up on commitments and maintain continuity of care. To every healthcare professional, I believe that with the art of reassurance we can achieve better health outcomes. I am committed to mastering this art to improve my patients' lives. Have you experienced reassurance from a medical professional before? #globalvisibilitychallengewithdrvivianmagnus #Healthcare #PatienCare #EmpathyInMedicine #CompassionateCare #HealthcareProfessionals #MedicalCare #PatientExperience #HealthcareMatters #CareWithCompassion #MedicalEducation

A skill to keep fine-tuning all through ones practice. Medicine is one profession that will come for your mind and after a while one goes numb due to the number of experiences you'd go through in one day. I've learnt to interact ONE PATIENT AT a TIME and to be fully present in every interaction. It's challenging but doable. Thanks Queen Uduak Affiang for sharing this. I will save this post.
This is Great 👍 Doctors are usually Nice But you see some Nurses eeh Hmm... Let me not talk
Yes I have and it was at a very down time in my journey. Hearing that all will be well from a medical professional even when things look otherwise can make a whole lot of difference in the journey of recovery. Sadly, some health practitioners are far from being humans. I have experienced both and I know the former approach is the best. Thank you for this Queen Uduak Affiang
Such a wonderful nurse you are, the health sector needs more people like you 😊
Great work doc 👏. Your commitment shows 🍾
Yes I have and that's why I would spare no expenses. I would choose the same hospital just because.
