We do not want to break into too many tiny countries. However, unequal distribution of the nation's wealth through patron-client politics undermined the constitution, established governance and institutional processes. Thus, creating a weak democracy and civil society. The state gradually lost control. Violence is increasing in many parts of PNG. Some Provinces do not trust the weak government that squanders people's wealth and taxes, and demand autonomy and independence. This is the biggest challenge successive governments will deal with.

#DRC – Tshisekedi’s charter President Felix Tshisekedi announced on 05 May his intention to establish a multi-stakeholder commission to review the Congolese constitution. Tshisekedi has cited a need to update the constitution to reflect the country’s current political and security context. Tshisekedi’s decision to review and potentially change the constitution is seen as legitimate given various tenets of the existing framework that have been subject to exploitation. That said, the review may also be a bid by Tshisekedi to extend his presidential tenure beyond its expiration in 2028. The constitutional review process is likely to elevate political tensions but is not expected to catalyse any major protests or undermine stability. What is the difference between Republican and democracy? By definition, a republic is a representative form of government that is ruled according to a charter, or constitution, and a democracy is a government that is ruled according to the will of the majority. Although these forms of government are often confused, they are quite different. https://www.cga.ct.gov › tmyPDF By definition, a republic is a representative form of government ... (1 of 3)

I am passionate about an Australian Republic, a Bill of Rights and new Constitution that includes The Voice!
Three urgent steps for Australia: 1. Become a republic 2. Rewrite the constitution 3. Implement a Bill of Rights The concept of a republic is significant as it ensures that political power rests with the public through their representatives, rather than a monarchy. The Constitution as it stands is a hindrance to our democracy and sovereignty. A Bill of Rights underpins our rights and freedoms as well as our responsibilities.

Thank you Justin Clancy MP for speaking up about the ‘Voice’ at the NSW Legislative Assembly, on 11 October 2023. To be clear, I fully and wholeheartedly support the ‘Voice’ and have already cast my ‘Yes’ vote at an Albury pre-polling station. I encourage everyone to take the time to read the relevant Hansard extract (link below) to review Mr Clancy’s statement, and reflect on his shared sentiments. Three stand-out passages: “Recognising the draw towards constitutional recognition and understanding the importance of consultation and co-design to effective outcomes, I have held goodwill towards an Indigenous Voice in the Constitution”. “Each of us must make our own decision independently at the ballot box, as is our democratic right and obligation. May we each discern our position through being informed, through the lens of both our personal and national values and through how we see the future of our nation being shaped. That necessarily draws a focus to actions and beliefs that go towards remedying areas of Indigenous inequity and disadvantage. Irrespective of the outcome of the referendum, there is much that lies ahead of us. As a community and as a nation, who do we aspire to be?” “Today, tomorrow and next week, we must continue to find our common ground and to strive to see that the nation brings its people along on this journey. We will find our way forward, whatever the outcome. People of goodwill will remain people of goodwill. There is so much to work with there.“ Together we grow.
