Volunteers play a crucial role in strengthening our communities—but they are becoming more scarce. In Queensland, volunteering rates have dropped 10 per cent over the past three years*. A Parliamentary Inquiry will examine the valuable contributions of the state’s volunteering sector, identify key challenges, find opportunities to remove barriers and support pathways to volunteer in the future. If you: - have volunteers involved in your organisation or need more of them, - work with groups who do, or - if you are a volunteer yourself, the Inquiry into Volunteering in Queensland especially matters to you. The closing date for written submissions is 5pm, Friday 28 February 2025.
