I had the pleasure of attending the final event in AND Digital's Women Leaders in Tech series last week, and what a great evening! Loved connecting with so many inspiring leaders in Tech and the panel provided such an honest and validating conversation. I left feeling inspired, uplifted and hopeful. Few takeaways that stayed with me: - Mentorship including sponsorship - while advice is invaluable, true mentorship opens doors and invites women to the table. - The language used to describe career progression is powerful. For example a 'career ladder' implies a solitary tool that you must position, climb and balance alone. - Resilience shouldn't always mean enduring, sometimes it's about knowing when to step away. Thank you to the team at AND Digital for hosting such an impactful series and creating the space for these discussions. If you haven't already, I highly recommend AND Digital's Rewards & Resilience: The dual experience of women in tech.
As we wrap up an incredible year for our Women Leaders in Tech series, we’re celebrating the success of our final two events in London and Edinburgh. Across these events, we brought together over 100 senior female leaders in tech to spark powerful conversations, build connections and drive change. Last week in London Dame Stephanie Shirley set an inspiring tone with her keynote, followed by a dynamic panel featuring Alexandra Willis from The Premier League Katherine Wässer from JLR and Pip Smith from Currys plc The evening was filled with insights and inspiration, highlighting the opportunities and challenges women in tech face today. Edinburgh continued the momentum with engaging discussions led by speakers from Sharon Wallace Sky and Sarah Thomson People's Postcode Lottery. The energy in the room was palpable, with lots of conversations and networking opportunities that showcased the strength of this growing community. None of this would have been possible without our wonderful partner, Amplience and our AND leaders Antonia Walt and Lauren Hine, who have expertly guided and shaped these conversations throughout the year. These events, alongside our earlier ones in Manchester, Leeds, and a previous London gathering, have been about more than sharing insights from our Rewards and Resilience Report. They’ve been about building a stronger network of women in tech, creating spaces to share experiences and taking actionable steps toward progress. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this year. Your voices, energy, and contributions have been the driving force behind these events. Here’s to continuing the momentum in 2025!

🤝 The Power of Shared Vision: Connecting Women Through Visualization 👯♀️ Last weekend, The Pull-Her Network hosted its annual end-of-year reflection and vision board party, bringing together over 35 women for an inspiring and impactful event. We reflected on our achievements, collaboratively created vision boards, and fostered meaningful connections. The power of visualization was evident as shared goals and aspirations sparked organic networking opportunities. For example, an engineering student connected with a seasoned female engineer after noticing a shared vision on their boards, leading to a valuable discussion about career paths and future aspirations. This event underscored the importance of: 🔻 Clarity and Focus: Visualizing goals helps define clear objectives and prioritize actions. 🔻 Motivation and Inspiration: Vision boards serve as a constant source of motivation and inspiration, keeping us focused on our dreams. 🔻 Networking and Connection: Shared visions create a natural foundation for connection and collaboration. The event was a resounding success, strengthening the network and empowering the women who make it so vibrant. Check my bio to join this vibrant uprising network of young women 😉 #womensupportingwomen #networking #visionboard #goalsetting #community

Here's a reminder to never give up and never believe there's something you can't do! Take this advice from Beate Chelette, a Growth Architect and Founder of The Women’s Code who sold her business to Bill Gates. “If I see others do something, I know it must be possible. If it is possible, then I will find a way to do it.” This sounds simple. And that’s exactly what she has done. Read about Beate’s experience on our blog: https://lnkd.in/giBwyDiR This throwback to one of our published interviews is a reminder of our mission at Gal Talks Tech. Technology is one of the key factors that allows women to be visible and present, today and in the future. Tech is a tool for new opportunities – to overcome geographical or workplace challenges, create new businesses or transform daily lives. We at Gal Talks Tech think it’s important for women to see other women working in tech or tech-related jobs. That’s why we spotlight diverse success stories – one interview at a time. Introducing women in tech worldwide is our way to show you can become one too. Because you can’t be what you can’t see. #womenintech #technology #tech

No More Excuses How can we, as men, learn more about equality and diversity? Sometimes, the best way to grow is to step out of your comfort zones and really listen to perspectives that are different from our own. If we don't challenge ourselves, we stop learning 💡 I'm on this journey myself, I'm trying, I'm learning, and I've already picked up a lot along the way. But this isn't something we can do alone. We need to do it together 🤝🏼 Recently, I was inspired by a LinkedIn-post from Aaron Kroon, who is nominated as a finalist and is Sweden's representative in the Nordic Women in Tech Awards in the "Women in Tech Ally" category. He says 💬 Being an ally is not difficult, but despite that, we, men, are conspicuously absent from female spaces. The excuses for us men not to get involved are many. To many, like these: Excuse: "I don't want to take space away from a woman." Excuse: "I don't know enough about the subject." Excuse: "I already work at an equal company." Excuse: "It's not my problem." But the opportunities to make a difference are even more. So let's drop the excuses and step forward now. We need to see the possibilities and act on them. 🌟 Women in Tech Ally Category 🌟 This category recognizes an inspirational organization or person for their achievements as leaders in business and visionaries in technology, and for supporting the cause of attracting more women to the tech industry. The Awards gala ceremony is on November 13th in Oslo, Norway! 🎟️ https://lnkd.in/d7Dnwf9D Thanks Aaron Kroon for being you and such a inspirational person! #diversity #tech #learning #leadership
