0-60 in 1.82s ⚡️ Formula E just unveiled its GEN3 Evo Race Car…and that is fast. To me the design doesn’t look too different, maybe a bit “racier”. But the standout Feature? Getting AWD (all-wheel-drive) in Attack Mode. On the race track this means even more overtaking and dynamic racing.  A more effective boost should impact race strategies and outcomes. ELECTRIC MOTORSPORT: Formula E to deploy #4WD with #Gen3Evo #FormulaE is set to unleash the potential of the #Gen3 platform with the just-launched Gen3 Evo race car, which will be introduced in 2025 for season 11 of the all-electric championship. To date, the Gen3 car has only used the front MGU from Lucid Motors – or to be precise, from Lucid’s technology arm, #Atieva – for regen purposes, as there were issues with the ability of the #battery to support both the regen and deployment demands it presented. 🏎️Formula E update🏎️ GEN1 to GEN3: A journey of innovation ⚡ The journey of Formula E began in 2014 with the introduction of the GEN1 car, marking a historic moment as the first all-electric open-wheel car in motorsport. Over nine years, Formula E has witnessed remarkable advancements, bidding farewell to mid-race car swaps with the advent of GEN2 in Season 5. The transition from GEN1 to GEN2 heralded a new era of progress, boasting increased power and nearly double the usable energy capacity. GEN2 saw notable performance improvements on its predecessor, despite keeping its battery size and weight unchanged. Power surged from 150kW to 200kW, reaching 250kW with ATTACK MODE and qualifying mode. This trimmed the 0-100km/h sprint to 2.8 seconds, and boosted the top speed to 280km/h. Season 9 marked the dawn of the GEN3 era, unveiling the all-new GEN3 car at the 2022 Monaco E-Prix. Lighter, smaller, and faster, the GEN3 represents the pinnacle of innovation in electric racing.
