Quick Heal Technologies Limited has uncovered a fake antivirus app, "AntiVirus-Virus Cleaner," downloaded over 1 crore times on the Google Play Store. Despite its claims, the app provides zero security and instead bombards users with ads. Quick Heal’s investigation reveals the app mimics real antivirus features but lacks actual scanning abilities. It falsely flags almost every app as risky, all while whitelisting its own package and popular apps to avoid detection.
