Today, IFPR celebrates its Human Trafficking Prevention team. According to the FBI, New Jersey is considered a hub for human trafficking due to its dense population and close proximity to New York, Philadelphia and Baltimore. Addressing human trafficking within the community, IFPR’s Human Trafficking Prevention Team provides residents and employees in Ocean County free training to learn what human trafficking is, how to recognize the warning signs and how to safely report. Since the program’s start in 2024, over 600 individuals have been trained. The training is recommended for educators, law enforcement agencies, first responders, social service providers, parents/guardians, healthcare professionals, retail or food service employees, religious leaders/groups and PTA groups. Candidate for Fulton County Commission District 4 | Federal Government Contractor | 25+ Years Federal & Local Law Enforcement | Retired, Business Owner, Wife, Mother
🌟 Building Bridges, Not Walls: A New Approach to Youth Crime Prevention 🌟 In Fulton County, we must address youth crime with compassion and collaboration, not just punishment. By fostering better relationships between law enforcement and our young people, we can create a safer, more resilient community for all. Instead of defunding the police, let's invest in programs that promote mentorship, conflict resolution, and positive youth development. Let's empower our officers to be guardians and role models, not just enforcers. Together, we can break the cycle of violence and build a brighter future for our youth. It starts with open hearts, open minds, and a commitment to working hand-in-hand for change. #YouthEmpowerment #CommunityPolicing #BuildingBridges #SonyaForDistrict4 #FultonCountyTogether #FultonCounty

Inspiring presentation by National Children’s Commissioner Anne Hollonds at the National Press Club of Australia today on the “Help Way Earlier” report. The evidence is clear about the need to focus on the root causes which lead to #children coming into child protection and youth justice systems. Help and healing is needed to lift them up into the possibilities and opportunities to do well. The crime and punishment approach just makes everything worse for the children and the community. Caring and help is the pathway to safety for everyone. There is a call to action for the #media to use this report to change the narrative and help the public and parliamentarians be more understanding and motivated to pivot to investing in prevention. #time4change.
